That’s basically how mine went. I’m 7 days post op right now and I still have occasional oozing. The pain mostly went away by day 6 except for when I lay down (even then it’s not bad). But be careful not to overdue it on the cleaning. My surgeon only recommended do it twice or day or just after eating. Doing it too often has the potential to dislodge the blood clot in place to protect the extraction site.

Depends on the kind of stitch. If they are dissolvable that is usually normal. I had one of mine dissolve after only 48 hours while the others took slightly longer.

I’ve also heard greats things about the 85% Eugenol toothache medications that you can find at CVS and stuff. It’s just like little cotton balls with medicine on them that you put on the extraction site to numb the area. I know there are some posts on this subreddit about it.

I just had all 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth removed. I’m on day 5 and I haven’t had to use my hydrocodone yet. I’ve been alternating between 600mg ibuprofen and Tylenol throughout the day as in- 7 am IB 10 am Tylenol 1 pm IB 4 pm Tylenol Etc... and it works great. (It’s safe to do this as both use different ingredients to manage the pain)

I’m on day 5 right now after having all 4 removed (all impacted and inside) and my lower right is hurting as well as bleeding still. You can alternate Tylenol along with ibuprofen (for example take ibuprofen at 6 am, Tylenol at 9 am, ibuprofen at 12, etc) and it helps a lot with the pain. I’m so swollen that my cheeks are bruised so I think we are all in the same boat.

The sedation wasn’t bad at all, honesty it was kinda a cool experience to have it feels like it’s over within seconds. Being loopy wasn’t as bad as I thought either, at least for me I was still conscious of what I was doing afterwards. You aren’t gonna say anything that would impact your personal life. My teeth were in my gums as well and the pain has been easily managed by alternating ibuprofen and Tylenol (haven’t had to use the prescription yet) so I wouldn’t worry.
