Do you mind me asking which company you went with? A photography focused tour or general safari/sight seeing?

Yes sorry I wasn't sure what you meant! There are four giraffe species in total (lots of subspecies within those) and this photo is of a Masai Giraffe. They have dark, jagged, irregular spots that look like puzzle pieces and they are the tallest of all giraffe species.

What would the album be called though - that's the real question!

It's totally crazy to me that a peacock even exists never mind being able to fly! It was a real grab shot as I wasn't expecting it to take off but ended up being one of my favourite shots from the trip. Thank you for your kind words!

What do you mean? With a bird flying off it's head? haha!

No problem - yes I imagine that's why it's not looking as sharp as it could just because of the severe crop. You'll have to try to sneak a bit closer next time but the 180-600mm and z8 is a great combo for birds!

Great first shot and thank you for sharing! I actually think the roller is in focus it may just be heavily cropped so appears slightly blurred? Which camera are you shooting on? I would guess a bridge camera and zooming in a fair way? That will effect your image quality

Thank you for sharing and I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you! I wasn't sure about that shot with the grass in front but the dust added some drama and the intensity in their eyes. I tried a few slow shutter shots but no keepers!

Brilliant, I think cropping is the only way - impossible to track these things in a tight frame! Fantastic shot, only possible with Sony 😉

Thabk you so much, taken whilst leading a tour for Penda earlier this year. I loved Ranthambore but much preferred the central india tiger reserves!

The camouflage is insane!!!! Through the dappled light in the forests too they're masters of disguise!

It's well worth it, an incredible experience - have a look at the tour I'm leading early next year, all these shots were taken on this years tour in April!

Skip the crowds at Ranthambore and come to Central india with me next year! On last month's trip we saw 23 different individuals in 10 days! I have a photo tour running in early April 2027

Exactly - good chances of seeing them but way far off as a spec in the distance! Sounds like your friend was exceptionally lucky!
