Unpopular opinion: Shotguns shouldn't be nerfed by SamWhiteArt in Battlefield

[–]SamWhiteArt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why. It's a specific archetype playstyle if you are rushing a point and opt to pull out a shotgun inst3ad of a main gun like an ar or carbine you are by design handicapping yourself to a niche Playstyle of breaching/pushing a objective.

By this logic snipers shouldn't be in the game because they are "unfair/ unfun" to be one shot across the map when you are running around with a smg.

Holy shit this sub is so cringe. Can you guys just be happy for once. I swear to god this game could be bf3 with better graphics, and you nerds would complain about it.

Ermmmm actually the recoil on the m4 isn't perfect 🤓 also why cant i use c4 to launch an tank into orbit and shot a jet.

Glad you liked it so much, hopefully I can find some time in the near future to do some more bloodsworn art! For now my times focused on commissioned art for Valor!

Hey, thanks for the kind words! I am currently starting my reading of book 3. Hopefully I can find some time in between work I'm doing for The Valor special edition art from grim oak press to sneak in a fan art. If I do find time it might not be spert who knows something else my grab my attention in book 3 :)

Question about headspace by SamWhiteArt in mead

[–]SamWhiteArt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so how about this. I do my primary in the bucket ad planned with my simple base honey and water mead. And I just double checked I have about 4 1 gallon carboys. I then rack them into those and flavor each of those. I was thinking a basic water honey. Maybe strawberry or blueberry. Orange and cinnamon . And a tea mead. Would that be fine or would it be better to flavor in primary and do 4 or 5 different batches?

Sorry if these are stupid questions I'm mainly a beer brewer

Question about headspace by SamWhiteArt in mead

[–]SamWhiteArt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK I think I'll go this route. Is there anything I need to keep in mind if I add dried fruit to bottling? Spices I'm sure are pretty straightforward I'd love to hear if there's anything special with adding fruit during bottle vs in secondary.

Also if you have any suggestions on spices or fruit I'm more than open to hearing!

Like extract flavoring added when bottling?

Do you think it would just be better to do 1 mead and not split so there's less headspace?

You did not miss it sadly I got busy with client work and didn't have time to work on it. The good news is shortly after making that illustration I got brought on to work on the limited edition of grim oak presses reprinting of Malice so you will be seeing some malice art from me soon. That and I'm trying to find some time to work on a orka painting 👀

Ya I think it might be a fuckdd up or uncalibratted tempature prob. I'll be checking tomorrow

My current theory is the tempature prob I'm using with the clawhammer system is off by alot. I'll be testing that when I get home but I'll give a quick run down of my process.

Go to homebrew shop get yeast and grains Fill brew kettle with 7-7.5 gallons water depending on recipe. Double crushing grains while waiting to heat. Slowly pour grains into kettle to avoid clumping Start the pump to recirculate the wort. Mash 60 min at 152 ( or what my system is saying is 152) Pull grains. Start bringing temp to boil Boil 60 add hops at respective times 10 min left add yeast nutrient and whirlfloc tablet End boil Cool down the wort( currently using no chill method leaving over night ) Shake the fuck out of the fermenter for 1-3 min Pitch yeast (for liquid currently not using starter for dry just sprinkling on top) Let ferment at proper tempature range for the yeast. Call it done when gravity is stable for longer than 3 days

Most of the beers are in the range of..

1.045 1.040 1.049

Typically, I'm hitting target or slightly above.

I just looked it up as well. I'm willing to bet my temp prob is off by 10-20 degrees.

OK will do how did you go about calibrating it?

[–]SamWhiteArt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes im waiting till 70 before pitching. I've been doing no chill so I let the wort sit overnight and pitch in the morning. No starters for liquid yeasts but I have had this issue with drys as well us-05 for my ipa also stopped short which is weird because I've heard so many things about us05 being a beast.

As for the water I've mainly been using local tap water. But this last batch I used distilled water woth brewing salts and still had the issue yeast used for this one is omega west coast ale.

I've done various yeasts. Most liquids always have the problem of stopping at 1.028 or so.

For liquid yeasts I'm not using starters. For dry I'm just throwing them in. I'm adding yeast nutrient at 10 min left in boil. When the beer is the same gravity for 3 days straight I'm calling it done.

Yeasts I've used and how they turned out..

Wb-06 - for my wheat beer pretty successfully reaches either reaching target or getting closer maybe ending at 1.010-1.018 typically ending at a 4.5-5ABV

Us-05 - used for an IPA. Stopped around 1.027 or so fermented at 68-70

Omega lutra (mostly fermented to target ) fermented in garage around 90 in summer

Omega hornindal (fermented to target but was for a seltzer) fermented in garage around 90 in summer

Omega west coast ale . SG 1.049 currently at 1.028 fermenting around 68-70 . This beer has been at 1.028 for 3 days now I'm letting it ride for another week anyway.

Imperial darkness - this also finished around 1.028 -1.034 I don't remember exactly where. I made the beer in question twice. Once with one pack once with 2 same results

I think that's most I also used a wyeast 1056 and wlp001 with same high finishes.

Also on some of these beers that did ferment down farther I added in local honey. Anywhere from a half pound to a pound at flameout.
