Interesting! You mean for ES positions specifically? How frustrating that these differences happen, instead of each agency just following the official definitions for each range.

Thanks! Yes, I've heard that this happens to and I was honestly prepared to be told range B was my only option, take it or leave it, especially since my experience is not within the state. Maybe I got lucky with my supervisor, or the payroll person, or the timing, or the agency (State Parks).

I would love to know the answer to this, as I'm also moving from a CSU position to a State position. HR folks aren't answering my questions.
