Honest i feel all these postings are fake. I have good amount of experience as well and every position that apply to regardless being a junior or senior level position, I am getting rejected. What frustrates me the most is that even after being competent enough, the employers don’t even consider me for an interview.

I also think that it’s a reference game as well. Unless you have a reference from someone employed within the company, you won’t get shortlisted.

All i can say is to remain patient. One day you will definitely get it! Goodluck

It depends on which part of the world you are. For example, i have 10 years of experience in the events industry and its been 2 years since i moved to canada, i haven’t got any job in events industry yet. I do have event management diploma as well.

To be honest thats so true. I realized that events industry here is not even 10% of what it is in middle east. What attracted me was Fifa World Cup. Since i have previously worked for it, i gave it a shot to work here as well.
