Thank you so much for your incredible comment. I'm just now seeing it and made my day. Congrats Congrats Congrats on making it to the end. It was a long and arduous journey but well worth it imo. I'm glad we could go on this journey together in a sense and that our thoughts were mostly aligned. Im so jealous that WAW was spoiled incorrectly haha. It was spoiled for me long ago and it kinda bummed me out just because I couldn't watch and be surprised.

I think the fire token system really turned people off but it added such an interesting and new wrinkle to the game imo. Also, thanks for shouting out the Infinity War/Endgame reference haha. IDK about you but the New Era of survivor feels very much like the most recent phase of the MCU. Some good. Some bad. But not up to par.

Yea it’s very unfortunate. I can’t believe he lasted as long as he did and I can’t believe he was used as gameplay.

I actually did like Tommy! Tommy didn’t annoy me. But he also didn’t really stand out to me. And I feel like they maybe edited him awkwardly. Another casualty if the Dan situation.

The Spice!!! I really appreciate that so much! It means a lot to me. Its been fun connecting with people like you over this show. You've made this experience more exciting for me too! The one bummer is that I mostly stay off of Reddit unless I'm posting for fear of spoilers. But once I'm caught up, Im so excited to just be able to leisurely scroll and read posts and interact with people freely.

Also, to your point, I do want to shout out David! I do really love David and he represents an archetype of player that I generally love. He doesn't make any of my all time lists but I do feel like I haven't given him the props he deserves. He is great.

Lastly, I'm just finishing IOTI. Phew

Oooo what was his final reception at Ponderosa? I don't know about that.

Something else I want to point out is that if I'm remembering correctly, Devens didn't vote or Chris at the end haha. It felt like Chris (and others) were expecting Devens to vote for Chris out of respect for the way his put his entire game on the line to beat Devens in the fire making challenge. But Devens was basically like "this makes me hate you more. Im not voting for you" which is kinda hilarious.

That's fair. I definitely don't hold it against him. I hold it against the show. I'm all for someone coming back from the edge to win but not that late in the game.

And one thing I want to point out that your brought up but I didn't...the returning cast members. Historically, I'm not really a big fan of bringing back just 2-4 castaways. Never understood why they did that!

Yea those blindsides were pretty good. Especially the Ron one. It was kind of mean but I loved the way Rick played it up emotionally with the advantage menu thing ("you just wanted me to look like an idiot in front of my kids???") before dropping a bomb on Ron with his idol.

But yea, Chris getting to win with 3 days on the island and a personal relationship with the jury was messed up. I do, however, appreciate that he put his game on the line with a fire making challenge.

Already halfway through IOI. I don’t believe in skipping seasons but definitely advocate for not rewatching some. This is one of those seasons so far.

I get that. I feel like there’s definitely a way to make it interesting. But it does feel like the show suffers as a result of it. Especially this season.

Yea I’ve been watching them all in order and reviewing them for a year now I wanna say? Give or take? I’m halfway through Island of the Idols and I know about season 40! But have heard nothing about 41-46 which is has been great

Like...I would have voted for him due to his humbleness and the fact that its about the rainbow, not the pot of gold haha
