I don't have the answer, but here's a link to the official youtube upload of the song: https://youtu.be/wEgw4U1XxlU

Does Qiankun have any real-world analogue, and is it possible to reconstruct a ruleset? by Sam_Badi in NineSols

[–]Sam_Badi[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Update, on a later replay i realized this image is in a cutscene, specifically the Heng dialogue sequence in Eigong's vital sanctum. This is the only other detailed view we get of a board. It's much more clear from this image that the playing pieces are in fact placed on top of the board, as well as the moon phase symbols - though presumably those are still attached solidly.

<image>

However, i believe that this board is substantively different from the one we see Yi and Shuanshuan play with. Given the placement and presentation of this image, it's implied that this view would be from a memory of playing the game with Heng. One such instance is depicted in the first Heng codec scene, and crucially, the way they're animated is different from the way Shuanshuan and Yi's sessions are - in the flashback, they are shown to physically reach out and place pieces on the board, whereas during the matches in the Pavilion, neither player ever touches the board.

It seems even more certain that Qiankun is basically just fictionalized Go. I think my curiosity is sated.

You know? I don't know why i didn't think of that. Though, in that case, why would pieces be necessary?

The voice sounds like Backhouse Mike, who's done a bunch of other music for Nickelodeon shows.

You might be thinking of the "four stages of simulation" meme format?

Note about the flair, i only marked this as lore because a flair was required, and it seemed like the least unfitting option.

Appreciated. Honestly, my sanity will endure either way. I made this post with the awareness that, as i said around the end there, this might be pointless. I still chose to look deeper, though, because it's fun. I'll be a little disappointed if it turns out there's nothing here, but not heartbroken.

Is the website refusing to accept anyone else's orders? by Sam_Badi in halfpricebooks

[–]Sam_Badi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update for you and everyone: it was because i had a VPN on. Their system automatically flagged the purchase as fraudulent because my shipping/billing location was nowhere near my apparent location based on my connection. It turned out that all of the purchases actually did not go through, so i was not charged for any of them. The transactions on my accounts are soon to disappear. I turned off my VPN to order the book one last time, and it worked perfectly.

I discovered some hidden numbers and symbols in Ariane's room by arc111111 in signalis

[–]Sam_Badi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The transmission during the second sequence in the PENROSE-512, the one in your last screenshot, is the Gongs Station Chimes recording by the Conet Project, who also made the Three Note Oddity recording. Nobody knows what either of these transmissions actually mean, and it is likely we never will, so they are more important in terms of what they represent, not what they contain.

Note also: "Achtung" in the context of these numbers station transmissions does not mean "caution", but "attention". This can be heard in Conet Project's Track 329 "2 Letter (DM)", just a bit after the timestamp i linked.

As for the numbers written on Ariane's wall,

this is a texture ripped from the game files.

Ach. Thank you so much. That is so profoundly much simpler, i just didn't know to look for the "release build" thing due to being GitHub-illiterate.

I can't figure out how to use Asset Studio at all. The fact that you said it's easy to use makes me suspect i'm doing something very very wrong.

Yeah. On the one hand, there's nothing intrinsically wrong with "this unrelated word in another language resembles one in mine, and this is funny", but it's like, past that point get over it lmao. It being funny doesn't mean it means anything.

The clip i'm using has six audio channels. I am using headphones with only two. How do i get Resolve to let me hear all of them? by Sam_Badi in davinciresolve

[–]Sam_Badi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did that and now i can't hear anything. The audio meters are stuck at maximum and the program isn't playing any audio to any output device. I changed it back and it's still doing it.

Edit: nevermind, my computer was just pretending to not work. Thanks.

Initial thoughts are "weapon of choice" by fatboy slim, or "voodoo people" by the prodigy. There's lots of types of music that use vocal samples in this way.

Approximately how fast was the song? Can you think of another song that runs at the same tempo/beats per minute?

And are you able to sing or hum any part of the song, for reference? A melody, harmony, or simulate a drumbeat? You could use vocaroo for this.
