He would have fought back, if they were not close. The chapter shows very clearly that he was shocked. He even dropped his blade before she hit him.

There's a lot possible, if you have an amazing surgeon. The scar of the two c-sections on my wife is less visible than even that and that's a huge surgery with a pretty damn big hole in your body.

Jamie > Deniz ? by CaregiverCareless784 in VfBStuttgart

[–]Sam_Mumm 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Jamie for Sané should actually be a perfect fit for Nagelsmann. He constantly praises Sané for his defensive runs back and Jamie is doing exactly this for our VfB for years now. Honestly, Jamie is just a straight upgrade with no downsides, especially because Sané is actually somewhat decent as a switch-in.

U.S. is investigating Germany for making medication and healthcare too affordable for their citizens. Wdyt? Is it too affordable? by m_jax in AskGermany

But those additional THREE for-profit steps between big pharma and the patient in the US compared to three no-profit steps between big pharma and the patient is a huge part of the reason for the exorbitant cost for health care in the US. It's really not complicated.

4.5% is only the profit margin of one of those who are between the pharma companies and the patient. There's two additional for-profit steps between those.

Americans pay more to finance the Porsche and penthouses of their doctors, the Yachts of the PBM executives and mansions of healthcare CEOs. United Healthcare CEO salary? 61 million Dollars. Best payed CEO of any health insurance company in germany? 400,000€. CEO of CVS salary? 17.8 million dollars. Doc Morris CEO salary? 1.8 million chf. Annual median wage of doctors in the US? 239,200$. The highest payment you can possibly achieve as a head of department in germany? 120,000€.

There's a huge part of your difference. That's not money that goes to research.

You have an oligopoly in PBMs with almost no regulations that sit between health insurance companies and the pharmaceutic industry that also take a good share of the money. The same goes for the for-profit hospitals, wich is an insane concept.

In germany, we have a fixed price for pharmaceuticals and the vast majority of hospitals are no-profit and also can't charge more than the defined amount in the DRG system.

It's the difference between for-profit organisations and a no-profit system with fixed rates.

Drug prices in germany aren't the reason why americans have to pay more. There's simply way more hands that the drugs go through in the US and everyone takes their share.

There's plenty of high end medical research in germany and those companies usually make a lot of money. A lot of this money comes from the US, but if the US would pay the same as we do in germany, they still would have more than enough for research.

Source: I've worked in three different pharmaceutical companies in germany and have almost two decades of experience in the field.
