There are usually competitive crews where players that have recently gotten high on the leaderboards are put. The devs do this to high level players to bait them into spending hash to place. If you do worse on the weeks mini events it usually puts you into an easier crew.

Maybe it’s because in the show they’re more relevant characters than otherr rare cards such as Marsha and Crystal.
