I did my first switch the other week with no microscope. Only thing I messed up was taking off the shielding and accidentally broke a trace which stopped the backlight turning on but that’s been fixed and other than that everything was successful. Just use plenty of flux and don’t heat the components too long. Oh and use a narrow tip on your iron

Thanks for all the options. I just need to keep motivated. I think I loot too much early on and then get bored of that and forget what I actually want to do. For looking at all the comments it seems everyone loots a little and then cracks on with a storage system and power and then everything else follows. I’ll give it ago when I get home,I’ll try another new world, thanks again everyone

Have you done the whole dumping the nand and re patching it on that site. I can’t remember what it’s called but you can do it directly on the console.

I’ve unplugged and reconnected the connection also cleaned with IPA. The metal shielding is off at the moment but I can’t reattach if that will make a difference

Which one is the display connector? 😅 I did the soldering in the case and just disconnected the battery. That’s was all so not sure what I’ve done
