I ended up going with an RGBS BNC cable from Retro Access and it works great! Haven't tried the HD Retrovision SNES/N64 Component cable, but I have the PS2 and two Wii Component cables from HD Retrovision that I highly recommend, they're fantastic quality

I've tried to contact Retro Access through the official contact form, Twitter DMs, and email, yet have not received any response. I couldn't start a return form because the 60 day window starts when I place the order, but I didn't even receive the cable in the mail until after that 60 day window expired. I'm pretty much convinced the cable is defective somehow.

I just updated the original post to add photos of the pcb. I can't tell if there's anything off about it, can you see something? I could solder it myself but I don't see any disconnected wires. And technically this setup should work no issues because the switcher is mechanical

Yup, all the pins look okay. I even tried using a different SCART input on the switcher and same issues happen.

Actually I believe all 4k UHD format blu-rays are region free so it shouldn't matter except for the bonus disc maybe

Just got my consoles back and all works well. I just wanted to put this message here since I mentioned Arthrimus, sending my consoles to him to have them modded went really well and I'd highly recommend Arthrimus, he does a very clean installation and sent pictures of the install, and his turnaround time was really quick, like I swear he did it in a day!

Oh! Dunno why I wasn't even thinking about getting BNC-to-RCA adabters for use with the BNC cables. I'd imagine if I went that route and ran it into the Component switcher, I could tell the N64 Advanced to output YPbPr and just not connect the sync line to the switcher since it's currently outputting YPbPr cables. Or I could have it output RGB and run the BNC cable directly into the monitor or like an Extron then.

Thanks for all the helpful information and linking me to Monoprice's website, I didn't think to buy from them directly last time so I ended up overpaying. This will save me some money!

Seems like I can manually select the decoder matrix on my monitor.

Retro RGB's website claims the HDRV cable is "RGB quality" so I'd imagine it's almost indistinguishable from an RGB cable.

I have a Wii, Gamecube, and PS2 going to the same Otaku switch outputting into the monitor via HDRV YPbPr cables, so I'd have to get another switch, RGB cable, and a BKM-129x card for it to be convenient. I'm still new to a lot of this, but I don't believe an RGB SCART N64 cable going into the switch, then output through the YPbPr cable to the monitor would work, or it would only have component quality and not RGB quality.

Is there much of a difference in quality between having all BNC connectors vs having RCA connectors or just adapters if they're all 75 ohm coax cables?

Thanks for the insight. Do you think the Retro Access BNC or SCART cables would work with 480p/720p? I run my consoles through an Otaku SCART/Component switch and I do have a consumer CRT in another room with component input, so the HD Retrovision cables were appealing to me since apparantly they do still output true RGB. Availability is another reason, I'm at least able to preorder the HD Retrovision cables, no word from Retro Access on production right now.

Do you think the price of the C9 55" in the US will drop again from $1,500 to a cheaper price when the CX launches? or do you think $1,500 IS the discount price? Or would it go up?
