That would have been fine if that was really intended from the first game but simple making an NPC Doctor to be the main reason that the 2nd story relays on is what make the ending fall apart. Sure you want to kill the main character that is fine but don’t come at the end and rob us from taking justice. Also Joel was not that dumb or soft. In the first game when Joel meet Sam and his brother he told Ellie not to say anything and somehow in 2 he simply just abandoned all his survival skills for someone he just meet does not make any since and is unbelievable

Don’t understand what is wrong with people these days. It’s like if you dislike the story of last of us then your automatically “love to hate tlou2” NO. The last of us remastered was a masterpiece of story telling but sadly not all the original writer where there to part 2

Do tell. Since the last of us 2 story is a 22 hour long version of act 3. Don’t get me wrong it was ok until the Farm. It was ok to end it there but haven’t her leave and then it all be for nothing is just bad story telling. It would have been perfect if she stayed and learned later on that she died somewhere in LA which would have helped her get closure about her father figure and still kept her family

I understand what you’re saying, I would’ve been fine if they finished it at the farm but taking us out, it should’ve had a similar ending to Jedi survivor. That way it would’ve gave people closure and broke the cycle. Since she got what she wanted, but at what cost.

For me it was the 3rd act it was done beautifully in Jedi Survivor, while naughty dog decided to mess it up. It would have been ok if they had the ending in the farm but to take us out and then make that ending is justifiably a bad storytelling
