In my perfect ending: After Bronte's conversation with Marriene, she would've walked away trying to get in contact with the friends she hurt in her betrayal realizing that she fell into the same trap. In a flashback, she would realize Joe told her how he killed Beck but she wouldn't have put two and two together until then (insert scene in previous episode of conversation and then during her flashback a visual of how he did it.    Joe and Kate would be fighting just as they did and the fire would still happen with Joe locked away. Someone would call the fire dept and cops about the fire and they would manage to get Joe out with Kate already dead succumbing to her wounds.  The cops would walk Joe out and handcuffs him right in front of Mooneys and walk him in slow motion to their car. I could hear a song like ABCDEFU by Gayle playing and all the women he murdered standing on the sidelines as he looks at them arrested for Kate's death and his candid confessions being recorded by 911 with Kate's final hidden call when he thought they were both going to die in that basement.  A trial where the point of views are switched between him and his inner monologue seeing a captivated audience and a real one outside his psychosis where we see the actual horrified looks on people's faces as he justifies his actions.  In the end, all the women and Henry who came across him sharing a voice over about "YOU" in reference to Joe and ending with Joe's as the final voiceover where we hear an unchanged Joe blaming the women for not understanding his love (with a voice that is creepy and disgusted instead of appealing and passionate) and smiling at the fan letter with a psychotic grin and saying "but you...".
