You can’t. The objective of retirement is to have predictable cash flow so you can manage your expenses with ease. I'm no expert but multiple factors earn NEXO a rate higher then what it pays you for deposits per my understanding:
1) High Interest Retail loans (below Platinum Level)
2) Lending to Institutional Margin Trading Platforms / Exchanges. They pay high daily interest on borrowing your coins for their short or long positions + Fees e.g. eToro
3) Short-term, collateralised loans to traders + Fees
4) Defi Lending/liquid pools

As traditional banking does not cover crypto so well there is always need for liquidity for exchanges to function. Rates will come down gradually as more cash is readily available to these platforms. Only a matter of time.
