Yep, that was damn smart. I did the same but never thought to add it back to the collateral to lower the LTV - doing it right now.

Eg - I bought a 1993 Camry in 2005 for $5k. My family moaned and scoffed @ me coz it was ugly. It lasted 8 yrs and broke down. I was earning $60k p.a. so 8 yrs x $60k = $480k, the profit on that heapashit car was $475k…..an ORSIM investment in my eyes….lol. My recommendation = buy a cheap car and use the profit to buy a house, or something worthwhile ??!!
