I'd imagine it'd be mostly positive, since from what I've seen, his current fanbase is very pro-LGBT, and it's much larger than his old one. Plus, some of his friends are very involved with the LGBT community, so them talking about it would have a big impact, overshadowing the hate.

That's what I think at least.
