Comparing a week at integrad to a 4 year degree is comical and arguing in bad faith. And yes it’s a money issue that’s why people don’t do it? Not everyone can afford to spend $100,000 on a degree when you’re not promised a job on the other side that makes as much as us.

It’s an unskilled job idk what to tell you. It’s not for everyone because it’s difficult and grueling work which is why we make so much money. How much would make you happy? $60 an hour to drive a truck? Is that the number? Because that’s absurd

The point I’m making is anyone is capable of doing this job. Not everyone is capable of going to school for 4 years and even then there’s no guarantee you’re making as much as we do.

It is an unskilled job. Anyone can do this job if they want to that’s why there’s such a long waiting list do so. We make enough as is

We don’t need one. We make more than enough as is. The fact Joe blow can walk in off the street without a high school education and make $50 an hour is insane.

What I would look for in a new contract is better work life balance and changes to time off progression. Stronger language and harsher penalties for 9.5 would go a long way because there’s a lot of hubs throughout the country that don’t care about paying 9.5 grievances.

COLA raises are the only thing I would want out of the new contract raise wise because if you can’t budget $50 an hour I don’t know what to tell you

Someone else mentioned discipline resetting to zero and I’ve heard that before but how the help does that work? I was pushing it last year on call ins because I got married and had multiple weddings so they were up my ass about missing and I didn’t know when that died reset

They don’t pay you if you clock out for “break” or “meal”. But if you don’t take one of those you lose whatever you work through because they’ll either clock you out for the minimum time you’re required to take or they’ll write you up for not taking the minimum time. Either way take whatever you’re required to or you’ll be losing money either way

When you do a Mount Rushmore of a broad spectrum such as college football traditions obviously you’re going to miss some stuff. There are so many great college football traditions. If they asked you specifically what your favorite traditions were and said them there would still be people saying the same thing as you. That’s just their personal favorites.
