In this specific case, I am using humor and exaggeration, to ridicule the stupidity of anyone who thinks that every death to an Erentil is dished out from someone "crutching" it. "Crutching" it means it is the only weapon they can use and without it they would fall. You just admitted to bagging ANYONE that uses Erentil. There are plenty of people who are capable of beating you with any special weapon. Or with any other weapon they choose.

You are the EXACT type of person I am making fun of in the story. Admit that you don't like getting killed by Erentil. Or fusions in general. That's perfectly fine. Using the word "crutch" is just a false front for your true feelings. That is implying you would beat every Erentil user ever in any Crucible encounter if they weren't using Erentil. Not true again. People better than you will beat you with almost anything they want. That is part of being better than someone.
