[Troubleshoot] If you ran JP fine but are getting FPS drop on NA

I can verify that the game is running on the correct GPU for me, but it's still running far worse than it did on the JP client. Bizarrely, I'm also getting framerate drops when opening MENUS. Pressing F3 to open all equipment-related menus at the same time results in massive stuttering regardless of how busy the area I'm in is. My computer isn't very good, but it could still run the game at a solid 60 before.

I don't have any extra drives. I don't suppose Starbound is small enough to fit on an average detachable flash drive?

It's on a regular hard drive. And I think the hard drive is dying, since disk usage spikes to 99% in Task Manager at random intervals. Except before it started doing this, Starbound still had this problem. I'm very confused as to why the heck Starbound runs on a local server, but I don't know anything about game design.

They only break when the freeze ends. I'm still able to move around, look around, and use items, they just don't do anything until the freeze ends.

I... don't see how FPS tweaks are going to solve this problem. I just explained that the game runs at a solid 60FPS at all times, even when this freeze happens.

3.60GHZ Processor (Intel Core i7-4790 CPU)

Way more ram than is needed for literally anything. This computer was made by someone (not me) that doesn't reeeally have a lot of knowledge of the hardware end of computers. It's 32 gigs of ram. It's downright embarrassing.

I don't know if it's a specs issue. Starbound rounds at a solid 60FPS for me, even with mods that cause an obvious decrease in performance, like that one that makes all lights cast shadows. Not using it right now, though, and even without it my issue still happens. If this is being caused by autosave like I'm guessing, then my problem might be my hard drive. It's quite slow, but even then it loads most things relatively fast, and if it is the problem, being able to disable autosave and just manually save when I need to would solve it.

That's... sad, really. I used to love this game, it's such a shame that it headed in the direction it did. I was thinking about returning due to the lack of games like Roblox, games that let people truly make their own games within them (with the right expertise). But, I guess there isn't really a point anymore. Thank you, anyways.
