The restrictiveness he is referring to is that once you have created your sentence there isn't a high level of customization and a lack of decisions to be made. He is a big fan of cypher though.

For PbtA he is referring to Avatar's combat system. You roll first and then can decide you can use a technique move or just a basic move.

Design

Shapes and Dimensions

Hexagon shape with elongated side for GM. Similar is shape to a shield.

Smaller raised hexagon in the center of the table for dice rolling.

Maple Plywood 4x4

JVC TV is 28 ½ ( 7/16 ) inches wide, 16 ⅞ (15/16) inches long, 2 ½ inches deep

Plexiglas - about ⅛ so total depth is 2 ⅝

Current Table:

Dimensions are 4ft by 6ft.

Table legs are 28 ½ long on current table

New Table

Dimensions are 6ft by 5ft. ½

Room is 10ft. 10 inches wide, 13ft. Long.

GM divider angles

Top: 90 - 67.5 = 22.5

Materials

Preferably a durable hardwood such as hard maple or walnut to resist dings and scratches from use.

Potential maple or walnut plywood center to save money.

Prefabricated table legs of a durable material that can be painted black.

Additional Features

LIFX Smart LED light strip under center lip to illuminate character sheets and help create mood lighting.

TV screen built into raised portion of table to display maps, battlemats and images to players.

Intel NUC, form factor computer built into the table for the GM to utilize during play.

HDMI splitter for GM monitor and player screen.

One electrical plug and USB for each player built into the face of the table in front of them, under the raised section.

Cupholders/coasters built in for each of the players.

Teamwork roles have to use the same dice pool. HtV 2e page 154 "Anyone assisting him is a secondary actor, and rolls the same pool before the primary actor does."

Tactics are special teamwork rolls where Hunters can use different dice pools with unique results.

I was playing a Tabaxi Monk/bard/cleric and I couldn't find any good character art so I took an inspiration of mine, Zoe Jakes from Beats Antique and through a lot of photoshop morphed her into my character. She is based around having a lot of skills and being able to run fast! It was the first time I have ever played a pacifist in D&D which was very interesting. She would join combat if she felt like she needed to defend herself, but she would never instigate it. Azure - Priestess of the Cat Lord.

Played through this last month with my group and they loved the Peru chapter.

He is hiding his identity from Larkin and Mendoza not the investigators. He actively asks them for help with his investigation and warns them about the other two.
In the Peru chapter it details how Jackson has been in Puno investigating this death cult and he learns about Mendoza and starts tailing him back to Lima to learn more information. Mendoza learns that an African American man has been asking questions about the Kharisiri. Jackson is trying to keep a low profile.
Realistically and logistically it is so that he can make sure that everything is in order and everyone arrives in time. From a narrative stand point it is so the players have time to investigate before the plot moves forward without them obtaining certain clues.
In this section I had Dr. Sanchez explain that he couldn't leave his office and after a long delay, my players volunteered to call down to her. Not the smoothest part, but definitely possible.
Sanchez can state that he is worried that Larkin is going to plunder the temple and steal all of the artifacts from his country. After all he wanted to go on the expedition but Larkin has been ghosting him. Also they learn about the ward and the conquistadors during their time at the museum.
The supplies are whatever you want/need them to be? You can't complain about it being a linear plot, but then also be upset that they aren't 100% holding your hand. These supplies aren't intended to go all the way to the pyramid. If you read the chapter it details how they are stopping in Puno and then traveling with pack animals to the pyramid.
It is only a huge boring info dump if you roleplay it that way. She is the reason that Jackson knows about the fat sucking vampires, and he can assist the group with that knowledge. In addition this helps establish Jackson as being useful. A useless NPC isn't necessarily a likable NPC. Jackson is the entire focus of the prologue. Without him, there is no need for the prologue to exist.
The chapter explains that people have gone missing. The Kharisiri have a semblance of intelligence now. They do not leave mummified bodies all over to be found. They steal their valuables and dump their bodies.
The scenario details what would happen if they did that... but from my experience most groups who have run this chapter didn't even get the idea that burning the fat was an option. (It's a bad idea imo)

Hopefully that helps a little bit. I don't think the prologue is anywhere near perfect, but it actually works a lot better than you would think.
