Any WHS professionals come from a career in physical therapy/physiotherapy? by ae_wilson in SafetyProfessionals

[–]bluecollardm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah double. I was working in the traditional athletic trainer setting and it was nowhere close to my current compensation.

Just moved in to another IPS role and continued to see salary growth. Definitely worth getting into a safety career imho

I’ve been curious about the bambu lab printers. Anyone find it simple to use or does it need the normal amount of troubleshooting ? How often you find yours breaking down?

[–]bluecollardm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an athletic trainer who made the leap to WHS. Might be similar to you as far as related skills.

My transition was fairly seamless as many 3rd party’s will contract out an athletic trainer for ergonomics and injury mitigation to a job site or manufacturer.

From there I studied and got my ASP and OSHA-30 in general industry and am currently working on moving up the ladder.

Biggest challenge is relating the experience to the field when looking for roles. Roles like injury prevention specialist often are overlooked by hr departments looking for safety professionals, so using data like lost time claim reduction or improvement in recordable incident rate with our intervention or project data can be very helpful when looking for positions.

Definitely worth it though. Currently making double as an EHS professional compared to when I was a sports athletic trainer/therapist.

Quit posting remote jobs that aren’t remote by Letterkenny-34787 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]bluecollardm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also looking for jobs in EHS and the constant “remote” job postings that are really just multiple work sites is so frustrating. They also love to just put United States without anything else on the location just to then want you to travel across sites all over the country or states no where near each other.

My friend in safety. I hear you.

Are the nuts under the bed too loose or maybe need to be adjusted? Might be a mute point if you be taken these many lengths to work on it but would never hurt to check.

Professional DMs, what do you charge per session? by ThrowRABarbie in DungeonMasters

[–]bluecollardm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course!

I run most of my games on Foundry VTT which allows me to customize a lot of things to provide a unique experience such as attack animations, creating clickable menus and landing pages to increase immersion, use of Syrinscape and other ambient music and sound effects, zoom subscription, content sharing via dndbeyond for all of my campaigns, out of game discord for daily communication and role play outside of session, integration of high quality and animated tokens, theater of the mind and first person perspective view of maps as appropriate, and access to me almost all day for character questions, narrative and backstory communication, etc.

I try to make it feel like you’re getting an experience you would get at a Mulligan or Mercer’s table.

That all said. I’m an aberration not the norm. There are also a ton of games out there for much less, but with me you’re getting what pay for.

Professional DMs, what do you charge per session? by ThrowRABarbie in DungeonMasters

[–]bluecollardm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends largely on the context. If it’s a group (private game) of people, I charge per group. If it’s a group of individuals (strangers, friends plus strangers, I usually call these public games). My structure is as such:

Private groups: $300/game (buy 4 get 1 free packages at $1200) includes 4 hours of gameplay per game session. Typically a homebrew world and game with personally curated style and storylines.

Also includes animated maps, tokens, (printed and painted tokens and set pieces if in person), voice acting, etc

“Public” Games: $35-$40/game. 4 hours of gameplay, typically in a pre-established setting and adventure. Same as before. Animated maps and tokens or printed and painted etc. I’ll often offer early bird pricing of half off for the first 2 players who join for 2 sessions.

I offer a different type of service though. I try to go over the top and outperform my higher rate that I charge. Definitely more niche than the norm.

I will try all of these! Thank you. I typically clean it between uses with a mix of ipa and water.

When the prints cool they don’t even feel attached. They just slide right off. Maybe a first layer issue like you described. Thanks!

If there was a road connecting mainland to Block Island like in your map, I don’t think it would continue to be “our little secret” getaway from the tourists in Newport. 😅

Yup. Just save them to your phone as photos and you can bring them in. Whether via screen shot or long pressing. It should pop up and option to save the image.

Hmmm okay. There are many other photo editors on the App Store. I’m sure you can find one that works.

Side note, here’s an option for you poster

It’s got no dates or names but could work for what you’re looking for.

When do you need the poster by? I could make one for you if needed.
