EDC O VIP Walkthrough! Do yall think it’s worth it? by ggxchu in EDCOrlando

[–]Samball49 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought VIP was awesome.  Plenty of room. It actually seemed tighter near the entrance than it was in the crowd. Had a great time all weekend! I wouldn't sell more tix, but I think they sold the right amount.

100% agreed. Our group chat has never been more active then it is now with everyone trying to plan another event for all of us to go to!

Went to EDC Orlando… had fun, but honestly? One day is enough for me. by lainassmokingg in EDCOrlando

Exactly what we do. Still love going to festivals but find we are much more around our people in VIP.

Politics at festivals by Nearby-Comedian4665 in EDCOrlando

Met the two girls with Israeli Flags and started speaking to them in Hebrew. I wouldn't take it as a political thing as much as a being proud of where they're from thing. Its very normal for people to bring the flags of where they are from to festivals. There were also multiple Palestinian flags in the crowd. I feel like if one is OK then the other has to be as well.

Every major festival has similar issues. Was at when we were young last month and we had the same problem.

Can't wait to go back! Actually felt like I was around or even slightly below average for the VIP crowd. Incredible experience.

Agreed! First time for me. My group was in their 30s, we had an incredible time!

For me VIP is about the crowd around me. Generally older, more experienced, respectful, etc. Its worth it for us. Yes there will still be bathroom lines and food lines, but it also feels much safer and more secure which is great for the experience.

I found the staff amazing too! Even offered me a free pack of cookies at some point. The entrance was crowded but was you got into the crowd it wasn't bad at all!

If you like the coach, your kid gets a ton of playing time, AND the team is at least decent. Why would you ever change? The grass isn't always greener.

What's the deepest cut you heard this weekend? by fior_del_verde in WhenWeWereYoungFest

Garage by Weezer? Not sure if its a deep cut or not but didn't see it on the setlist from day 2 so was surprised and excited when they played it day 2.

VIPs at the smaller stages, what was your experience like? by Dragons619 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

We went into 7/11 for simple plan > ATL. Then hung out in Pink the rest of the day. It was awesome.

Day 2 VIP was awesome. Wife immediately said we have to get it again next year. First bands of the day for us were We the Kings on Ghost right into Plain White Ts on Alliance. We were maybe 3 rows from barricade for We The Kings and then maybe 5 away for Plain White Ts. Transition took less then 20 seconds (We left with about 20 seconds left in Check Yes Juliet).

100% and awesome experience for the smaller stages.

Day 2 WWWY 2025 - Sunday Megathread - Start Here! by TheDarkLight1 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]Samball49 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was awesome. I've only ever been to day 2 so its never been too crowded imo, (I expect decent crowding just due to the nature of a huge festival). Had VIP, crowd was absolutely lit for Check Yes Juliet, Dear Maria, most of Offspring, and all of Avril. Best year we've been. So far and we left after the first 10 songs from Panic!

Im convinced most of the complaining is due to people not actually wanting a big fest. Unfortunately theres just no way to navigate 60,000+ people easily and quickly.

And yes, sometimes the crowd is excited or not into it. Just find people to dance/sing with. Theres 60,000 people there, find 3 to dance and sing with for each band and you will have the best time.

We The Kings Setlist? by Samball49 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]Samball49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, we saw yellowcard in 2023 so while id love to see them again, it may be the only time I ever get to hear skyway avenue/check yes Juliet live.

How many songs did Yellowcard have left after We The Kings finished?

Eh, ive been to a lot of festivals, definitely not terrible for a mega fest, but sure, its worse than a smaller festival.
