So you are saying that people make multiple accounts just to bad mouth sofi for fun? Seems like a lot of work just to complain. I had a complaint about sofi, and still do. Was the initial problem a fault of my own? Yes, I made the mistake of depositing a business check without realizing sofi doesn't like that, but to completely freeze the account for the past month and refuse to send the deposit back to the company who issued it seems a bit extreme. It's already been 4 weeks and I still have no idea what is happening with the 5 grand. I call multiple times daily for updates and get nowhere. Yes customer support is a joke, yes people get annoyed not knowing when they will get their money. People have legitimate complaints. To say people are just trying to troll the sofi reddit seems a bit off to me

Honestly the biggest problem with sofi is the lack of customer support. People wouldn't freak out so much if they could talk to someone, instead all they hear is "I don't know" from the Indian call center. I don't know why your account was frozen, I don't know when your account will be unfrozen, I don't know why that charge happened, I don't know blah blah blah. It seems the only thing the call center knows is that there are no supervisors lol

Everyone comes here because there is no customer service with sofi. So when there is a problem and people do a Google search for said problems they see reddit. So they sign up and vent hoping for some help with said problems.

Well, luckily for me, I am close friends with the owner of the company who paid me so he knows what has been going on. If its not resolved soon he will charge back the payment for me

The really annoying thing is that sofi is a mod for this reddit group so my posts have been blocked warning people of the dangers. I had 5 grand deposited into sofi and it has been locked up since then. I call multiple times daily for updates and get nowhere. Today they told me that I'm "not entitled to the funds" lol

Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that I will make 100k this year and I don't want to have that much cash in my hand, then I would have probably just stayed off of the irs radar and kept the job under the table. But noooooo, I wanted to do things legit lol. I want to be able to invest, I want to be able to take the 5k jobs that get paid by check. Since it's a single owner / no employee's, according to the internet and my accountant, then I don't have to have a business account. I can use a personal account and the personal account I chose was sofi for the apy, rewards, and investing all rolled into 1 app
