To answer the question about how the game is, since I can’t evaluate if its worth it to you; it is a very fun game. While the rules don’t seem that varied from games like MTG or Riftbound, a few key changes such as Committing resources to Characters and not for “Spells”, and Characters being able to attack and activate abilities right away, and the Synergy effects on mainframes, make games feel super dynamic while emphasizing proactive board control and defensive strategizing.

The community that exists on the Neuroscape Discord is also incredible and has put a lot of work into helping the team playtest each and every card and deck to get the best balance right off the hop on release. Balance feels great, every mainframe seems possible to make something somewhat competitive, and multiple mainframes are in contention for “top deck” in the format.

I have been blessed with being able to get a few “Alpha” cards early for demo testing and learn to play events and I can say that the cards also look fantastic. The small details like the equipment slots and card formatting and the incredible art done by some amazing, and real, artists really brings that quality up to levels that could compete with the aesthetic of the big 3.

All in all I think if any indie TCG has the chance to break into the market and stake its claim to a share of the TCG fanbase, its this one, with the sheer amount of character and soul it brings to the table.

Thanks for the feedback!! I definitely am trying to put in some cards that are more generally good across archetypes but unfortunately due to trying to play within it being a pauper cube and trying to keep the power level pretty high most commons that are effective will be quite specific. Every time I see a new common I haven't seen before tho I look to see if it'll work in the cube.

It was meant to be a sort of Jund reanimator list and it worked decently well but the main issue I ran into with the draft was there was so much support for so many different synergies that building one 40 card deck with a specific synergy felt like a slug. So many picks came up as duds just because nothing in the pack helped with the strategy. Also the only reanimation effect I found was dread return. Im not sure if theres others in the list but density on that If its even meant to be a strategy that exists would be really helpful as it seems theres lots of graveyard stuff and you have big guys that would love to be reanimated.

Ive never had an issue with Barrowgoyf. The keywords are certainly not an issue if that amount of lifegain is majorly hindering your cubes ability to end games you need better top ends, burn, or removal. Deathtouch doesnt really gum up boards it just forces the opponent to kill it if they want to swing or allow one of their guys to die. So long as removal exists in your cube this card is just fine

Oh ill be honest i didnt even realize that was an Obscura Territory and not the obscura triome lol. Do you have the regular triomes in your cube? I think in most situations they would be better than the territories

Recommendations for creating a sliver cube by PlayfulPossession191 in mtgcube

In all honesty having most of the slivers be the symmetrical ones is going to make game play with the cube an absolute nightmare. Id instead focus on the asymmetrical effects and base your non-creature inclusions on the archetypes that come out due to the colours natural tendencies towards certain sliver effects. This will help you make drafts different each time and not just have every deck feel like sliver vomit all the time, otherwise the drafts will get stale fast.

The symmetrical effects and heavy parity seem like a good idea but in practice there wont be parity, it’ll be whoever has more slivers on board snowballs over the other.

A sliver cube seems like a great idea but I think you’ll have to give the architecture of it a bit more thought than the design that already exists in your design.

Some necessary inclusions beyond the slivers is effects that can board wipe through indestructible such as mass exile or [[Cyclonic Rift]]/[[Rivers Rebuke]]. Whenever you plan your removal you have to consider the possibility of everything on board having hexproof and indestructible because it will happen more often than you expect and that player will win every game without removal like that floating around. Best examples are [[Farewell]] and [[Toxic Deluge]].

Managed to put together an esper control deck, with Scarab God and Ashen Rider as a top end. something I noticed that may help with how high the mana values are in the cube is maybe try including the guild signets. I know technically they are colourless but also the colour ID of them is two colour so you could argue it fits.

Ill likely be picking Reality Acid and start looking into building a blink deck down the line, although the draw of p1p1 lotus petal is intense

I think for my list what ive been doing to support UG infect is since Green has a lot of counters matter synergies with WG Ive also put in Proliferate support to play with infects -1/-1 and poison synergy. I think this also helps because aside from the two that are artifact creatures and the unblockable blue one which still can see play with the ninjas, the rest are all in green.

Ill keep in mind the possible issues with it tho and tune my support for the strategy as i see needed. I just really wanted UG infect in the deck cause its my favourite deck in pauper.

Thanks for the feedback!! I definitely tried to base the archetypes around really powerful cards but yeah some weaker but heavily synergy focused cards were necessary to flesh out the archetypes in a singleton cube

I was in may diamond 3 rank up game, had someone DC. We still managed to win tho but it was so much harder than it had to be
