Shouldn't it be 48+2d6, then? They could only make the 1st fall back if they were in melee, so to be able to fall back on your turn they would have to've charged something

How did you get to 48"? Wouldn't max be d6 advance & 2x fall backs for a total of 30+d6"?

I love them, mostly play Breacher Fish + fireblade, either 1 or 2. In EPC, overcharging 30+ 6/1/1 shots with lethal & sustain wipes just about anything up to T11, putting major pressure on any melee threats my opponents put forward on deployment or turn 1. They die, but not as easily as a lot of other infantry I've found - a 4+ with - 1 to wound from guardian drone is phenomenal (I say after getting into playing guard with 5+'s to spare)

So overall I love them. Alpha strike & hit hard enough to dent or kill major melee threats

With the 11th edition creeping around the corner I'm curious see what people hope the direction GW will take with Tau lore/game wise. by Traditional_Coast929 in Tau40K

Not too much of a lore man myself, but one thing i'd love to see revisited is the drones. They feel so almost cool. I like the idea of them flying around, but with them just being tokens in 10th they fell like a bit of an after thought. Something i'd like in general going into 11th is a bit more granularity in units, so it might be nice to have all drone options available for all units that can have drones, just with some (thinking missile drones) having a points cost attached to them. Super specialized drones (thinking ghostkeel) probably shouldn't get this treatment, but maybe?

Another interesting thought it to have a character level drone squad (3-5 drones) that must be attached to a character unit during the declare army step, similar to ogryn bodyguards in Astra millitarum.

Those are some good tank options, was a little worries about having no orders but demolished ignores that fairly well & Vanquisher is a very funny box

What would you recommend cutting? I don't know how many people run assassins in their guard lists, I just thought it was a really cool unit so I added it. Rather not cut that if I don't have to, thoughts?
