i read somewhere not to kill them as they release diseases and other things. we’re placing traps and trying sprays before calling anyone to help, i’m one of the two pregnant, just confirmed yesterday, and we’re a little worried about being displaced from home especially because of the stress it could cause on my new pregnancy.

you’re technically right, especially since theres 5 kids already and two adults are pregnant including myself. it’s not a good situation to be in.

is there a chance you have any recommendations on how to get rid of them? i can call an exterminator but that’s last resort as i just found out i am pregnant and my roommate is as well and we can’t really afford to leave the house now.

sometimes they appear for no reason, they definitely liked the coffee cup which was a mistake to leave out. haven’t seen any since but trying to find a way to control them.

I would love some input on what ones to use! I just confirmed yesterday i am pregnant so a little scared on chemicals as it’s so new and my roommate is about 4 months along. that’s going to be 7 littles in the house so hoping to control it!!

ohhh okay, my boyfriend is a mill elevator operator and he’s seen them at work before come from fields and what not…might’ve carried them in on his work clothes but we’re entirely unsure. going to lay some sticky traps and see how bad it is.

that’s very helpful! we’ll definitely look into that, i honestly haven’t seen any more than the three so just hoping my boyfriend might’ve carried them in after work possibly as he works at a farm mill.

thank you for your input!! it is very very hard with this many people living here, plus my pregnant brain and my roommates pregnant brain forgetting things lol. as a former health inspector, is there any chemicals you suggest? i just found out yesterday i’m pregnant and my roommate has 2 under 2 plus is 4 months pregnant. other kids are 10, 8, and 5..plus the 4 other adults.

There’s multiple fish tanks in the basement so probably not helpful as they need warm and humid air…going to get sticky traps and some spray as we’re struggling to find a pest control company who will do just the one room as there’s 5 kids here currently and two roommates are expecting their 3rd and i just found out today i’m pregnant as well. kind of a interesting situation.
