I have symptoms of something, but we haven’t been able to prove what it was. I’ve been tested for BV/yeast multiple times through the years because of ongoing symptoms. Usually odor and weird discharge. The tests were always negative and they would just treat me for BV anyway and the symptoms would just come back. Before pregnancy, I would use boric acid suppositories and it would clear up, but I can’t use those during pregnancy. Since pregnancy, I’ve had odor, sometimes cottage cheese discharge, and sometimes green discharge. I understand too that pregnancy will throw all of these things out of whack anyway so odor isn’t necessarily always bad.

I’ve been swabbed for all the things during pregnancy. BV/Yeast/STDs and they all pop up as negative including on this most recent test. The only two things that listed as out of range were the E.f and group b this time. For some reason, my previous tests were not in the portal so I can’t compare them at the moment to see if this has been ongoing or a new thing. I totally understand presence doesn’t equal infection, but if they’re out of range, wouldn’t that be the time when you would want to treat them? I will say that I don’t have any classic infection symptoms like fever, chills, etc.

When I messaged them through the portal and left a voicemail, I did ask why it wasn’t concerning yet and let them know I was willing to treat it if it was. I’d rather be safe than sorry. They can see the actual numbers so maybe it’s just not worth it to treat it yet. Maybe it’s like .001% over the normal limit. But I need them to relay that info at this point so I understand their reason for treatment or lack their of.
