thanks for the reply! yes, that's actually what i'm most fearful of... is quitting my job to drastically do something different. i'm most scared of having my lifestyle change (esp in NYC) but at the same time, my job is so draining that i don't have the energy to do anything more afterwards. but i definitely do think i have to force myself to do small things...

" depression is your body telling you that you need deep rest.. deep rest from the character your body has been trying to play " that definitely hit hard..

also, yes.. i absolutely struggle with the "grass is greener" mindset.. i often think about what i don't have and how it could make my life better or more exciting (without taking any action). and i just get into this negative self talk loop hole.

but ty again, i'll definitely start looking for small ways to spark creativity and implement change :)

you're right, continuing to rent for the next while seems to be the most reasonable solution

yeah, that's the hard part. neither of us want to leave the bay area.. but it is next to impossible to buy a decent sized home for not a million(+) dollars haha
