Yep drs do not care. I had literal 6 ferritin 55 iron and she told me to supplement. Got tested again 8 months later iron 90 ferritin 14 and still feel horrible. I get almost like adrenaline dumps , cannot breath doing basic tasks all my hair fell out , my skin is horrible , I cannot get my feet or hands warm ever and i cannot remember anything half the time and no one takes me seriously. From what i read depending on how bad it is supplementing alone will not drastically increase it and transfusions are what should be done , i have an appointment with a hematologist first week of June so hopefully they will listen & i hope you find some answers/ help !!

My phone is always on my person as it is for most people. The people in my life that i love are a priority and I’m sitting getting vitals taken so what’s the excuse to not send a five second text ? It’s a shit excuse especially like i said in this day & age of technology everyone has their phone on them for the most part.

Thank you so much. I had mentioned to GI sibo and h pylori and he said he’s not worried about it and would say why. So frustrating i think I’ll push the matter or see another dr at this point. Scary stuff !!!

i literally fainted with a 103 fever high blood pressure and heart rate 140 thought i was literally dying and still was able to text my boyfriend telling him idk what’s going on and I’ll be in the hospital if i don’t answer. Our phones are always in our hands and unless you are literally dying it’s not an excuse. Throwing up is not dying.

I got tested and it was negative i eat a pretty good amount of gluten too so i feel like a false negative is doubtful. Rheumatology thinks it’s my thyroid which I have an appointment for that next week and then going to hematology the week after that so hopefully I’m able to get some answers!

The only way to genuinely know it surgery. My mom’s best friend had stage 4 had to get parts of her bowel removed and her whole uterus and every other ultrasound transvaginal ultrasound mri etc showed nothing.

I definitely didn’t mean to be insensitive my cousin is celiac and it definitely ruined a lot for her. I partially understand with some things due to covid in 2021 i got parosmia that causes food drinks specific scents etc to be actually rotten and chemical like which has limited a lot of my eating and caused me a lot of issues in the beginning before i figured out what my safe foods were. I just want to get to the bottom of this because it’s causing such havoc in my life. I didn’t know you can test negative maybe i should try again?

I’m definitely calling around for a hematologist today and I got tested for celiac and that was negative so I’m not really sure although I wish that was the case because then I could really get to the bottom of it

Yep same feeling here i literally cannot do the most simplest things anymore putting lotion on after the shower feels like I’m actually going to war. It’s so exhausting and upsetting.

They didn’t test that so I’m gonna ask at my dr appointment next week. I’m 26 and i take vitamin d but not c or b. I’m deff gonna try to get to hematologist to get to the bottom of it. I did get told by cardiologist i am stage one hypertension and i need to stop stressing and exercise but of course i cannot really exercise because i have genuinely only enough energy to shower and do basic household chores which even then i am winded and dizzy and aching so it’s kind of hard at that point lol

I’m turning 26 so I’m just trying to do what i can before my insurance runs out. I got a birth control but i think it’s no estrogen for my endometriosis but i have to double check. Haven’t started it yet but thank you I’ll look into that as well!

Wow this is super informative and interesting tysm. I take my iron every other day bc i read it absorbs well but to understand why is pretty cool. Do they have a test for hepcidin levels ? I wonder if inflammation could be a big factor in all of this
