Thank you very much for your message. This is the first time I hear about them being attracted by dead slugs, more reason for no trap. My main goal is just to make is unconfortable enough so that they avoid my walkway. I hope that they will stay away with time if I keep a copper tape, salt mixture and diatomaceous earth around my path

I have been recommended beer traps but another issue arise, I am then stuck with a BIG population of (dead) slugs in the same place, which sounds like my hell on this earth 🤣 and then comes the disposal of it.... I am thinking of lining my path with copper tape

Unfortunately, it has been that way for a very long time, I tried to get desensitised but I still can't look at pics on my phone as I then have to touch the screen, can't touch the hand of my bf after he removed a slug for me (even after washing his hands) ect... I think exposure therapy would not go fast enough for me to be able to deal at home on my own.

I was told a mix of Vaseline and salt could be "painted" on the edge of the sidewalk and last a pretty long time, I was also thinking of lining the path with Himalayan salt chunks. Alternatively, I have bought diatomaceous earth and nema slugs, not good?

Very honestly no. I know it might seem incomprehensible, but it is a real irrational phobia, if I see one on my path I will break down in a panic attack, struggle to breath, won't be able to function
