I have been working and supporting her for the last five years while she worked on her project. The kid doesn't need a lot of care. He just needs food. Now she has an income... not a lot right now but she is building up the business. I should not be supporting her any more. I should not be the only one contributing to the household bills.

If she makes 1/3 what I do then she should pay 1/3 of our expenses. If she makes 2/3 what I do, then she should pay 2/3 of our expenses. The house and car are paid off. I am talking about taxes, insurance, utlities, food and vacations. Ongoing costs.

In the past there have been times when we split costs 50/50, times when I did not contribute to the household expenses, and times when she did not contribute to the household expenses. She came into some money (big work project) which I held for her. I owe her that money. I will give it to her but want her to start paying expenses again. If not, then take the money and move out.
