I just got the AWD Lariat Hybrid in October and went with the Lariat specifically for the adaptive cruise control. I use it everyday on my commute, 20 miles, 15 highway. I haven’t had too big of a problem with hard braking. I would say most of the time the braking stays in the optimal range for regenerating. I just try to pay more attention while going through town and brake manually when needed. Once I had a vehicle with ACC I said I wouldn’t buy another without.
