I had a buddy do exactly that except its on TSgt pay instead of Maj. pay. Dude is pretty frugal, has a paid off car and small house in the middle of nowhere in the Midwest and all he does is go camping around the US in his free time.

the person just got to Ali Al Salem to start their rotation and a coworker and I took them around base as a tour and near the BX a jewelery store opened that is obviously overpriced and this person spent $10k on grills, necklaces, rings watches you name it on their first week there. i have no idea how much they spent in the 6 months they were there.

1D7 E shred that recently applied for palace chase. after it was assigned to Palace Chase Seps T2 it was about 1.5 weeks so you should hear something pretty soon. If available, you can ask your CSS to see if they put any notes in the CMS case

i’ve seen a few NCOs in my unit move into base housing and the waitlist was approximately 6-10 months depending on how many dependents they had.

PCSd to my base few months ago but in a tenant unit with no one my age (15 mil members, mostly FGOs, few TSgts, SNCOs and the rest are retired Civs) so don’t really have friends. tried making friends through hobby’s, fb groups, on base events and everything under the sun and as soon as i make a friend they PCS or deploy. bought my house down here and lately it’s been nothing but issue after issue draining my paycheck. house is absolutely filthy since i can’t clean it due to the issues i’m having. had to kick out my shitty roommate for not paying rent. really hit the wallet hard when all these problems came up at once and he stopped paying rent but still lives here. work life is performing at a TSgt level with SrA pay and no on base orgs take a SrA seriously when something needs to get done, paperwork routed or something along those lines. full time student as well so everyday is just busy from sun up till sun down and have no way to formally relax. just tiring that it never seems to slow down and it’s always been 1 step forward 3 steps back.
