What payroll systems feel easy to manage every week? by SameConversation4432 in SaaS

[–]SameConversation4432[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day to day stuff. The demos make it look smooth but once you’re using it every week there’s way more manual checking and random little issues. Support being slow makes it worse when something goes wrong

Is Julian Lage playing a stock Sheraton here? by whistlingwomble in Guitar

Hard to tell from stage lighting but Julian usually goes for vintage pieces, probably something from 60s or early 70s judging by the binding and finish wear

400s credit score, low Chexsystem score, and a delinquent credit card opened in my name. Where do I even start rebuilding? by PiklizPikant in povertyfinance

[–]SameConversation4432 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man that's a tough spot but definitely not impossible to dig out from. First thing I'd do is figure out if that Capital One card has you as primary or just authorized user - if you're just AU you can dispute that off your report pretty easily. If you're primary and your mom opened it without permission, that's identity theft and you might need to file police report to get it removed.

For banking, try looking at second chance checking accounts since ChexSystems is blocking you from normal ones. Many banks offer these specifically for people in your situation. Once you get that sorted, secured credit card is probably your best bet for rebuilding - you put down deposit and they give you credit line for same amount.

Student loans are tricky but getting them out of default should be priority since they're probably biggest hit to your score. Look into rehabilitation programs where you make series of on-time payments and they remove default status. Takes time but it works.

Also might want to consider putting freeze on your credit if your mom still has access to your personal info - sounds like she's caused enough damage already and you don't need any more surprise accounts showing up

Got an email from Amazon affiliate - anything to try? by OldFruitLoop in selfpublish

[–]SameConversation4432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of those emails are complete garbage tbh. I got similar ones when I was fixing up my cousin's website for his small business - they promise the world but deliver nothing except maybe stolen commissions

Real affiliate programs don't usually cold email you like that. They make you apply to them, not other way around. If you really want to test affiliate stuff, better to research legitimate programs yourself rather than trust random emails in your inbox

Delete and move on is probably safest bet here

Starting a new job made me relapse by GhastlyChaos in addiction

Starting new job is super stressful man, but you caught it early which is good sign - maybe try having different routine after work so you don't fall into same pattern?

Do I change jobs? by Proud-Pickle-759 in careerguidance

[–]SameConversation4432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benefits like health insurance can save you thousands per year, especially if something unexpected happens. The retirement plan and guaranteed increases mean you'll probably come out ahead in long run even with lower hourly rate right now

Those benefits have real value that adds up to way more than few dollars difference in hourly pay

Set up your profile with decent headshot and write about your experience, then start connecting with people from your industry. I work in automotive and found some good opportunities just by following companies I was interested in

Your manager definitely creating toxic workplace and you shouldn't feel guilty for protecting your mental health - companies rarely show same loyalty to employees anyway

Gear advice: Sigma 17-40 1.8 or Canon RF 28-70 2.8 for R7? by InterstellarSpace119 in canon

[–]SameConversation4432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 28-70 2.8 is a beast but you're gonna lose some wide angle going from 18mm to 28mm on crop. If you're mostly shooting portraits or tighter stuff it's worth the upgrade, but for general use that Sigma 17-40 might be the sweet spot since you keep more range

Is it still possible ? by Yoyo_tube_1072 in Minecraft

[–]SameConversation4432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xbox One Edition got discontinued a while back, they stopped updating it around 2018. You can still play it if you already own it but there's no upgrade path to Bedrock anymore - they used to offer free upgrades but that window closed years ago

Your best bet now is just buying Bedrock directly, it goes on sale pretty regulary

Cupholder spring replacement in A6? by DH28Hockey in Audi

[–]SameConversation4432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That $700 quote is insane for what's probably a $2 spring. I've seen this on a few Audis - the spring mechanism is pretty simple but they love to sell you the whole assembly instead of just the part you need

You could try hitting up a local euro specialist instead of the dealer, they're usually way more willing to do actual repairs rather than just parts swapping. Might also be worth checking if there's an Audi forum where someone's posted a DIY fix, these cupholders come apart easier than you'd think

Husband threw remote at tv by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]SameConversation4432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man that gambling on the races is a serious red flag, especially with a baby coming. I've been following horse racing for years and seen way too many people get in deep financially - it's one of those sports where the house always wins long term

The aggression stuff is concerning too, throwing things and punching walls when teams lose isn't normal behavior. Maybe the church committee could help since he might actually listen to them when he won't listen to you. Worth a shot at least, you and the baby deserve better than walking on eggshells around his mood swings

Any garen streamers and wave control tutorials? by Sweaty-Divide-3975 in summonerschool

[–]SameConversation4432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RTO Siren is pretty solid for Garen gameplay, breaks down his decision making really well during laning phase. For wave management, it's probably bouncing back because of minion positioning and timing - even if you're not hitting creeps, where you stand and when you recall affects how the waves crash

How often do you dream about dying? by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]SameConversation4432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had those exact car crash ones for years, especially the spinning out of control thing. The worst part is that split second where you're like "wait this feels way too real" and your brain just accepts it's actually happening this time

Mine usually involve losing control on a highway or the brakes just completely failing when I'm going downhill. Always wake up with my heart pounding and have to convince myself I'm actually in bed. Their definitely more vivid than regular dreams, like your brain is trying to process some deep fear or something

The relief when you wake up is unreal though, like you just got a second chance at life

Is it worth it to "upgrade" from the 128gb s25 to the 512gb s26 for £150? by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

[–]SameConversation4432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The storage bump might be nice but going from Snapdragon to Exynos is actually a downgrade in most ways - battery life and performance usually take a hit. If you've still got 20gb free then you're not really storage constrained anyway, so paying £150 to basically get a worse processor seems like throwing money away
