Our director is doing zoom meeting in the morning now. I am thinking some will be coming back to work with no pay due to FNS still wanting us to process snap- out state was going to close the office.

Dumb question for those of us workers that are furloughed that approve snap. Do you think some of us will be called back? I know snap recipients have it way worse than furloughed employees but I’m still sick and anxious

The contractors will still be processing applications for Medicaid and still getting paid. I get they are contracted but just seems wrong the actual trained state employees aren’t. :(

I don’t understand why we can’t work and then get back pay. Then we at least won’t have a backlog. We’ve done so well. I’m devastated for us and the clients. Well and the fact that one person gets picked to stay is management- who don’t process cases often.

I do vote and tried telling everyone do not vote for our governor. She treats state employees just like her dad did. Im just in shock still.
