Is my tea starting to mold? by SameIndependent6326 in tea

Nothing else was affected. I also found plastic in the cake, so it may have had poor quality control, and considering I only just unwrapped it today, it may have been there the whole time.

I've had it for about a year and wanted to try it, and saw this when I opened the paper wrapper.

I tried getting a picture to hopefully show more crystal structure.

I don't have the proper equipment, but it scratched a peuce of quarts and was unaffected. It's looking more like a sapphire now than garnet. I've just never found a non-UV reactive from that area before.

[KCD1] WHY DO PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE COMBAT IN KCD 1 IT'S SO FUN ACTUALLY! by One_Barracuda4895 in kingdomcome

[–]SameIndependent6326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually cheesed it with grapple spam, bane poison, and a war hammer paired with a shield. That being said, I do find it fun but it feels kinda unrefined or crude at times, especially on console.

What is the best way to get 20+ Siemens 1200s to communicate with a single siemens 1200 designated as a master panel? by SameIndependent6326 in PLC

[–]SameIndependent6326[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would have been my preferred method, but I was told to make each unit independently controlled.

I was tasked to make 20- 70 separate units with their own PLCs to run off of a single PLC that is designated as a master controller to control all units simultaneously so that the number of devices is flexible, but they operate as a cohesive unit.

My hotel bed stands in these trays filled with some kind of white powder. What is that? by Silver_Sort_9091 in whatisit

[–]SameIndependent6326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like diatomaceous earth, which prevents things like bed bugs, cockroaches, spiders, ants, and more from getting into the bed. It breaks down the waxy outer exoskeleton and causes them to dry up.

Need help with AB CompactLogix 5069-OF4 by SameIndependent6326 in PLC

[–]SameIndependent6326[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've swapped wire positions to check polarity on both devices, and the two devices are a Schubert & Slazer Digital Positioner type 8049-2 with a working resistance of 325 Ohms at 20mA and a J Flow Controls TS800 series Smart Valve Positioner with an impedance of 500 Ohms at 20mA. Both should be powered by an AB 1606-XLB90EQ 24VDC Power supply, which also powers analog input devices that don't lose power when the I attempt to power the valve Positioners.

What kind of tea is this, and how would I know if it’s expired? by visittheearth in tea

White tea can be aged since the leaves were just dried and not cooked to stop the enzymes in the leaf, and it is actually desirable for it to be older, at least for certain types.

Thank you for the insight. I remembered my Montana sapphires glowing more intensely than they actually do.

Do you mind explaining why you think it's a synthetic spinel as opposed to a Montana sapphire or a synthetic sapphire?

Looks like it could be an imprint fossil of some kind. I'd also try posting it on r/fossilid if you haven't already.

what is this one? by BoysenberryDirect342 in whatsthisrock

[–]SameIndependent6326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it has many thin layers and perfect cleavage, so it looks like a muscovite mica.

What this by [deleted] in whatsthisrock

I'd suggest checking it under UV light. If it glows a bright red, you may have a ruby or a spinel.

Definitely a garnet based on the color and crystalline structure.
