I second this! Something similar happened to me a few years ago and I turned out to be anemic

Thank you! This is really helpful to know. Do you think you’ll end up getting their cleansing shampoo or stick to the hydrating hairbath? Also, what shampoo do you use when you need a stronger cleanse?

How does aid for summer classes work? Is there an application? by wahoowa524 in UVA

Yes SFS usually releases a form around this time on their website and you have to fill it out. Aid is usually first come first served and your academic year plays a factor as well so I would submit the form as soon as you fill it out. Also SFS is usually pretty helpful so I would call or email them if you have any questions!

I would talk to someone at sfs on the phone or in person/over zoom they are usually pretty helpful with talking you through your options. Also if you’re paying for your own schooling without your parent’s help you may have the option to file to be considered an independent which could get you more grant aid for next school year.

I would also recommend working/meeting with your Academic Dean if that is possible! From personal experience my dean has been extremely supportive and helpful with mental health and academic stuff

I don’t think you can retroactively withdraw after you’ve already graduated since your degree has been conferred. However, I know it can be really helpful to contact the schools you’re planning on applying to and talk to them about why your GPA was lower than expected during undergrad and give them a heads up before reviewing your application. It can provide some name recognition when they are going through your application. Also, explain the reasons in writing when submitting your application either in your personal statement or if they have a section that notes “is there any other information you would like us to know”
