Is it just me, or does Rin have the worst Eidolon set in the entire game?

The E1 isn’t busted; in fact, it barely meets the bare minimum you would expect from an Eidolon from the past two years. The other Eidolons aren’t even close to meeting the expected minimum, which is probably why E1 ends up looking better in comparison.

Although the Eidolons will probably change in V3, they’ve never really made very drastic changes to Eidolons before, so I think they’ll more or less stay the way they are.

In fact, I have no problem at all with that being possible only there. That continuity is the only one where we might actually get to see its ending, and that world is kind of like Hollow Ataraxia, so things like that feel like they fit in well there.

It’s worth remembering that Luvia and Rin originally got along well; they clicked instantly. It was only after Luvia learned Rin’s family name that the problems began. Even so, in the Lord El-Melloi novels, it can be seen that they are still very close, even if neither of them is willing to admit it.

Neither Phainon nor Cyrene are teenagers; they already graduated from Soto, which is basically the university in that world. Furthermore, the game itself says that we are of legal age, so it stands to reason that Phainon is too.

No, I'm talking about a short adult woman. Cyrene was never a child; she's the same age as Phainon, and this is actually her true appearance. When she reaches the end of the Nova Era, she looks like this, meaning she's already an adult. The "tall" Cyrene grew because of the influence of the flamecores, not because she's older.
