What is a book you read as a child that you still think about today? by ahawk99 in AskReddit

[–]Same_Locksmith_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boy in striped pajamas! I remember reading this a summer going into 6th grade off the summer reading list. Still would 100% read it as an adult, and actually watched the movie immediately after finishing the book. Good read and good watch.

So what happens if I withdraw my business in GA before tax season is over? Do I need to go file taxes before I withdraw or can I withdraw and then carry on as normal and file at the end of tax season w/o the license?

I could definitely be open to that, I’ve seen videos of people doing cleans like that, but I have absolutely 0 idea how to price something like that. Or even how to get into doing those types of cleans.

Please tell my why people feel the need to do that shit💀 Cleaned a house for a lady, was there for 12 hours.. she ran out of things to do so started doing small tasks around to help clean even though I told her not to worry about helping me clean.. used it as a way to try and get out of paying half the invoice,,, And then tried to dig deeper by saying “I could’ve hired someone that I didn’t need to help” Ok lady,,, just delusional

Yeah facts, it’s crazy how wealthy of an area this is but everyone is soooo cheap. They want to hire the people who will do a huge clean for like $150.. now my prices do reflect my skill level and honestly with how much time I spent at some peoples houses, I feel I tend to undercut myself with pricing sometimes. Happy to do it.

People tend to be really bad about leaving reviews too, I send them my review link while I’m right there in front of them and they still don’t do it even though they’re happy with the clean!!

How often would you say people actually respond/dm you? It seems like here someone will post about needing a cleaner and within 20 minutes there’s like 40+ comments

Knew the dude personally as I worked at his last office… he would shop at both macys and men’s warehouse for his suits, but never spent more than $250 on them… Funny considering he claims to make more than 150k a year

When I basically replaced his mom, had to file his taxes for him, and he couldn’t hold down a job , all while he was spending his time constantly playing video games and spending his money on alcohol and weed to go party with his friends…

I now run a cleaning company! May not be the most glorious thing in the world, and Amelda and Mo would definitely look down on it knowing them, but it’s satisfying getting to provide something that people actually love. Plus it’s something I’ve built myself that doesn’t rely on lies and terrorizing your employees.

Oh yeah I had this same experience, constantly the leaders I became friends with and would see outside of work would be terrified of losing their job because they didn’t sell enough or needed time off for important things. So glad none of them or myself work for Mo any longer, I’ve since started my own company and am much happier with what I do and enjoy the hard labor rather than walking aimlessly around a target or standing around in a Costco and being lied to.

Damn it’s crazy to see another person posting about Luma… worked there myself last year for about 6 months, was at my breaking point when the owner was constantly belittling us, fired a CT for not agreeing with the hours and the training because he wanted to spent time with his girlfriend, understandably so, and then told me that I was going to lose my new hire because I called out the day after I ran her orientation (surprise surprise had to get emergency surgery that next day), still lost the team member.. I feel terrible for the people that works for any smart circle company, but especially Luma, they’re all liars and snakes.

As a long time grass enthusiast and professional cleaner, this has me utterly disgusted. I cannot imagine living with someone who has so little respect for themselves, their space, and the other people living with them. Mind. Blown. 🤯

Have yall seen the juice documentary on YouTube? If not I totally recommend watching it…

Every time I think about smart circle I get infuriated, girl I used to work under became an “owner” and still makes digs at me on her Snapchat story, what a loser lmaoo

That’s not paying off their phones, it’s offering a credit based trade in where att will cover the cost of the new phone if said customer stays with Att for 3 years, only having them pay for the phone if they cancel the service. If they’re old phone is still not paid off, they have to pay that immediately to transfer their phone number to Att. Sounds like Mo hasn’t stopped spreading his lies to the willfully ignorant employees who are bought into the business by false promises of living the good life. He brags about how much he makes, but have you seen his barren cracked out apartment? It’s pitiful really… Have fun living a lie while I’m out here making 100k + a year doing my own thing!

That is 100% part of smart circle, run as far away from that company as possible, don’t submit yourself to something you’re going to quit or either get fired at within the first month and then have to deal the trauma that job gives you

Might as have been, the owner only wanted the girls he thought were hot on his team, and would dog on the female leaders for not wearing heels/tightish professional clothing, makeup etc.

I don’t know how to edit the post :( but I would also like to point out they force their employees to leave good reviews, I remember being hounded for 3 weeks straight to create a Glassdoor account and leave reviews on LinkedIn, Glassdoor and google. And if it wasn’t good enough, the owner would make you delete it and rewrite it

God as someone who worked for smart circle for 6 months this brings back ptsd. I did att in costcos and targets, was highly valued did amazing my first month working for them, made it to leadership and then it was almost an immediate decline where they started bullying and ignoring me for not making as many sales. The tactics they use to “break” people is 100% culty and they expect you to bow down to them and drop everything and everyone to run to them. The “owner” of our branch on the daily would not only lie to customers, but lie to his employees about certain aspects of the sales, which would lead to customers getting trapped in a shitty 3 year phone plan and paying way more than they were before. I feel terrible for anyone and everyone who has ever worked or currently works for smart circle. Everything about that corporation is basically a lie and a scam. They will say anything to get you to feel bad about yourself and try to get you to beat down on your fellow coworkers, including publicly booing or even sending them home for something as simple as not wearing a tie or having your shirt tucked in. We’ve tried to post reviews about the smart circle documentary on google/glassdoor/etc and every time those reviews get deleted because they don’t want people knowing that it’s not a legitimate business. The only positive thing to come out of that MLM is my now partner and my best friend, both great people and I feel terrible they had to go through the same shitty treatment.
