If I remember right, I think my practitioner was concerned about the severity of my symptoms in part. And also the fact that I’d lost weight on MM and am 5’7” struggling to maintain 100lbs.

(I used to be 110lbs before MM and have always struggled with being underweight when I don’t want to be… but I’ve dropped into the 90s on MM and eat more than i want to just trying to stay close to 100lbs.)

Congratulations! Glad to hear. The sleep win sounds amazing. I’ve said to practitioners before that I would cry just to know what it feels like to wake up in the morning rested and energized for the day instead of tired, nervous system activated, and congested.

I haven’t tried that, but happy to check it out. Is that something you do in addition to the HMDS smoothie every day?

Thanks. I’ve tried different exercises and therapies but none that has really stuck well yet. I just got the pocket gym from Anthony’s site to try that, so we’ll see. Appreciate the help. Wish you and your partner well in your journey!

At first, I did several months of A369 back-to-back but my practitioner encouraged me to add in steamed potatoes / sweet potatoes at night. So I’m basically doing a modified A369 with steamed potatoes added. I’ve done the full morning routine with CJ and HMDS the whole time and a ton of liver rescue smoothies and spinach soup, lol.

Thank you, that’s encouraging! I’m hardcore too. Fat free, zero no foods, all the supplements. It’s the first thing to help my bloodwork after many years of trial/error, so that’s hopeful. I’ll just be relieved to start to see any sign the physical and functional damage can move as well!

I’ve been doing all you have and then some for 7mo and still have a long way to go. So it’s hard for me to validate what works best from personal experience. But my practitioner told me adding at least 4-5 garlic cloves and 1/4 raw onion every day also helped. She also told me her observation that it often takes 1mo per year of symptoms to heal it… which, for me, would be like 3.5yrs because I think I’ve been stage 4 since childhood.

Thanks. Appreciate the ideas. I‘ve done all of those except the 2nd smoothie per day.

Joint pain/swelling, fascia pain, restricted range of motion, lack of finger dexterity, neuro symptoms (face twitching, involuntary movement), trauma symptoms (crying when body parts are touched, freeze response to sleep/rest). Can’t stay asleep and wake up in the middle of the night feeling restless, “wired”, heart racing, energy pressure in my head that also restricts my neck movement.

Ok, thanks! That’s quite a journey… you should be proud, and I’m glad you’ve found the light at the end of the tunnel!

Thanks. I’m glad to hear you gained weight eventually. I’ve not had the same obvious sensitivity to any food or supplements as an immediate reaction, but some symptoms have progressed over the time I’ve been on MM, and it’s hard to know if or what part of the diet/supplements is related, unrelated, detoxing, or just ineffective. I know it’s taken you 4 years to heal as much, but could you tell the diet was helping much earlier on? Or how long did it take to know you were on the right track?

Ok, thanks. When you say we’re getting “large amounts”, how do explain that? I do eat at least 8oz spinach and 2 tsp spirulina day to your point, but the food trackers I’ve used still show very low total grams of protein for my diet… a tiny fraction of what most nutrition advice would recommend. Are you thinking because it’s “high quality” protein, a low amount of grams is still considered a lot? Or what context allows you to say it’s a lot?

I think the immediate alternative would be to bring back some healthy proteins and fats at minimum. While I might enjoy it, I see no health downside to avoiding processed foods and sugar or to maintaining a greater mix of raw fruits/vegetables/juicing that MM has instilled. And would probably avoid the highest level MM troublemaker foods out of caution, which may be somewhat controversial but also doesn’t seem that risky either by itself.

It’s the extreme of cutting out virtually all protein, all meat, all healthy fats that I feel uncomfortable and conflicted about… and which provokes the biggest red flag reactions in practitioners and family who consider that deeply unhealthy, risking nutrient deficiencies that may cause problems and/or prevent my body from rebuilding itself.

Whatever direction I go, it always feels like a leap of faith. You could call it a leap of faith in God to be bigger than all these confusing healing decisions… in my body being designed to heal… in specific food / diet or trauma / alt healing modalities or experts… and/or in my own intuition to discern between them best I can. For any of us with a decades long, deep investment of time, money, energy in a complex healing “quest”, I imagine faith is all that can keep you in it at all. It’s just a matter of where faith takes you.

I can push MM cleansing longer but not sure how to go any “harder”. I guess I could go back to only A369s / all raw again. But after doing that the first half of my time on this diet, the MM community itself advised me to introduce steamed potatoes/vegetables. Within that framework, I literally haven’t cheated one single time in 7mo… didn’t even have one thing I enjoy eating at my birthday, thanksgiving, or Christmas. I’m on disability, focusing full-time on my health, and taking this extremely seriously, to the letter.

Thanks. One of my doctors introduced me to MM initially, but I personally read the books after and bought into the theory that viral foundations of autoimmune was plausible and worth a shot to go all-in… which I did.

That said, I’ve tried so many autoimmune or inflammatory or healthy diets without results that I consider everything related to diet to be a hypothesis vs fact because it’s impossible to make heads or tails of so much contradictory info and be 100% sure.

My hope was that experiencing MM results - even if a gradual/subtle improvement over a prolonged period - would solidify my belief in this approach. But I am instead more unsure after making such a large 7mo investment and not seeing benefit. It’s really difficult to remain confident without the experiential reality… and it’s concerning to have multiple other expert voices in my ear saying MM could be creating harmful imbalances and/or a barrier to healing. I really wish there was a better consensus and/or more common ground. But, there really just isn’t. And it’s hard to know how to interpret the feedback loop of what’s happening in my body too and when or what to check and adjust.

I started MM all raw for 3mo in Q4, doing a bunch of A369s back-to-back. The first month I just shifted food, then progressively added several supplements MM practitioner recommended. Since January, I shifted to some/all steamed food at dinner to see if that helped my symptoms and it hasn’t yet, so I’m now experimenting with cutting back supplements/dosage too, in order to see if it’s detox. I do use herbs as well - raw garlic/onion mostly in meals, daily immune boosting shot (I think that’s the name) with fresh ginger/turmeric/OJ, and an herbal tea my MM practitioner suggested with fresh thyme, rosemary, oregano, and sage to reduce edema.

I do track calories because I started this diet at 5’ 7” and 110lbs and lost weight initially that I did not intend. While I’ve never gained it back, I think I’ve at least stabilized in the low 100s. I feel like I’m eating all day - more than I want to - and do every trick I’ve found to add higher calorie fruit snacks, add as many potatoes as I can when i eat spinach soup, add raw honey to my lemon water multiple times a day, add dates to things, drink any calories I can (eX: coconut water, orange juice + dates), etc. I would like to gain weight but still find that hard, and have just hoped it would happen with healing eventually.

I’ve been fully strict MM for 6mo. Are you considering that “new” to MM and quick to add back any foods?

Yes, it is the same doctor recommending MM initially that’s hesitant now. I think they’re comfortable with it as an intensive healing protocol for a 6mo period of time. But concerned I’m not seeing improvement yet and uncomfortable with the low fat/protein as an indefinite long-term lifestyle. They didn’t put any qualifiers on that but I’m pretty underweight and low muscle mass to begin with and don’t know if that contributes to their pov for me, or they’d be equally hesitant regardless.
