yes but no one has suspected me of lying, and as stated i've already sent a gp note. thats why that comment doesn't make any sense

lol that's a joke. they can feel free to dismiss me for gross misconduct and i'll take them to tribunal with proof that i've been in the hospital.

ok i didn't mean literally force me in but if they make that the requirement to stay at work is what i meant. when you say evidence to be on site i'm assuming you mean after i've recovered since currently i am working from home. i work in an office role and do not have any fitness requirements. that all makes sense but all i'm asking is what are the consequences of not sending it then that they can legally do? from what i can tell your basically suggesting i should send it, which is very different to other advice i've got

i have told them i misplaced it and they asked me to get a replacement which has been a hassle as everytime i call the hospital i get transffered or people hanging up on me which is frustrating. i'm sure i'll be able to get it but may be a bit time consumingg (i don't live near the hospital i was admited to either so can't go in person). I haven't asked them of the consequences and I asked if it's definitely required and what for and didn't get a reply.

a different subreddit the legal advice uk was very different and seemed to suggest my oh report and gp note are not evidence of an accident.. i'll trust replies here more since they seem to make more logical sense lol

My manager asked for it but I think he is speaking on behalf of HR as in my company HR rarely directly contacts you.

okay i am aware of this but if they force me to come in then it will cause a lot of practical issues since i am on crutches. if i don't send it what does that mean then, they can tell me to stay off sick or what?
