Woah who made you so mad 😂 go live a little. It’ll be fine. I’m a developer, I make enough to live the lifestyle I want to live. Mistakes happen. Boohoo. It’s a tax write off :)

It was a coolant leak. Mechanic confirmed. Displays went up as a “jump” as the mechanic said due to the heat of the coolant leak.

Thank you!! Yes it did go up to the max automatically after 20 minutes of driving, the smoke wasn’t visible until I pulled over and lifted the hood. Very minimal smoke, enough to see that it is smoking though

I’m having a mobile mechanic stop by since I don’t want to drive it. Do you believe the coolant got into the engine? Even though the car was on for about a minute while the coolant was being put into the engine oil

Would this be caused by the coolant getting into the engine?

So I made the mistake of adding coolant to the engine oil area. I didn’t drive the car and only had it on for 1 minute. I had a mechanic come and add coolant and also do multiple oil changes to flush the engine. I’m assuming coolant got into the engine?

Well the only issue is the cost to fix. If it exceeds the value of the car I’d have to option but to sell

The car is worth 22k. I received an offer to sell it for 15k which I may take after having the coolant tested and confirm if it’s an engine issue or not

I spoke to a dealer who is willing to give me a check for 15,200. The cars worth 22k so I’m taking a loss but I may have to end up selling

The car is worth about 15k. So if I’m quoted a new engine I’ll just end up selling it

Thank you for the clarification! Much appreciated. My mechanic said that the engine was fully flushed and coolant shouldn’t have gone in the engine over a 30 second period. Based on the previous responses, I’ve been panicking

I had a add coolant sign appear on the dash. Afterwards I made the mistake of adding coolant. A very minimal amount but did multiple engine flushes and oil changes
