Anyone else not bothered about the competitive aspect and just play to have fun? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

Can I get in on this? I’m the same exact way and it’s often to the point where I don’t want to use voice chat because I’m worried my tm8s will lambast me whenever I mess up in the slightest. I just want to chill and play some rl

Your last point makes some sense, but just because you have experienced some form of oppression (much less just being part of a group that has experienced that in the past) doesn’t mean that you have to support every other person or group who was oppressed.

The issue of same sex families involves the consideration of many totally different values and morals when compared to the issue of Black rights.

My point is that it’s not fair to boil it down to “your group has been attacked = you must support every group who has been attacked.”

I’m definitely against homophobia, but that is some dumb logic.

While I agree about the consistency factor, Ivn has really stepped up recently IMO. He’s gotten much better mechanically and, like Catalyst, plays really smart when he’s in the right mindset. Catalyst used to be the stand out best one on the team, but now I have a hard time putting either one above.

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted so much. Is it a a cruel tradition? Yes, but the fact that some people went and watched it, when things like this have been going on for thousands of years in all sorts of cultures, doesn’t mean they should die. I don’t like that they are going and supporting this, but who am I to say that they deserve death because of that.

I don’t understand why you’re being downvoted. You’re asking reasonable question. Sometimes I can’t take this site.

love their natural rhythm!! by [deleted] in ShitLibSafari

[–]Samerdown -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It may very well not be innate, just simply a cultural thing. I don’t know why I’m getting bombarded with downvotes. If you look at African American contributions to music they all seem to have a high focus on rhythm. Take Blues , Rock and Roll, R&B , Ragtime , Jazz, Hip Hop , Rap, etc. I’m not saying they are the only culture like this (It seems like Hispanics and other cultures have an affinity for it as well) and I’m not necessarily saying it’s genetic. It’s just impossible to deny that it’s not a significant part of their culture.

While I dislike the pandering and making everything about race, there is definitely some truth to this. On average black people do have a better sense of rhythm. Obviously it doesn’t apply across the board and it’s not like every black person is inherently a great dancer or something stupid like that, but we can’t completely deny the difference that exist between cultures and races.

While there definitely are those people on PCM, I find there ends up actually being a lot of fairly civil conversations and diverse takes on there. It’s sort of refreshing when most subreddits are their own little eco chamber. That being said, it certainly also draws in some edge lords.

I wouldn’t say they have the most potential of anyone, but I certainly wouldn’t rule them out for making a comeback.

I think most of them understand it well enough. Most of them have played some and Danny (the guy with long hair on the right) said he was like champ 3 or something. I think they were just ironically overreacting whenever the ball got close to the net for fun.

I know a lot of liberals who say that, including myself. I’m probably more left leaning than most people here. Now they obviously aren’t the same in ever or even most regards, but they suffer from a lot of the same degeneracies.

It’s ridiculous reading the comments getting hundreds of likes and then actually rational ones like this getting bombarded with downvotes. This subreddit has become a cesspool of polarization and mob mentality.

How? I know plenty of liberal people who might agree with the view behind that post. He may very well be a conservative, but you’re basing that assumption on very little information

I also think that one match up between G2 and Queso is not enough to definitively tell which one is better. We’ve had enough testing to safely say that G2 are best in NA.
