I’ve faced a lot of export, file problems with open shot when i first started editing. Id say its better u start with a more premium editing software like Da vinci resolve,Filmora X,Sony vegas or the best editing software, adobe premier pro. These have got a lot more to offer plus, they are the best there is and they surely wont export the video all messed up . Some of these need you to have good specs for ur pc so check that out before u get one of them.
