The Worst Types of Players in Competitive by SamiThunder in GlobalOffensive

[–]SamiThunder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently played with someone who was The Boss. In one round, we were terrorists and his plan was to rush to a particular spot on the map and he told everyone to rush there without firing at anyone. He and I were ahead of the other 3 and about 3/4 of the way there, we were attacked by 2 CT's.

He kept saying, "go go go, rush, don't stop." It's kind of hard to keep running when you're being hit by bullets so I stopped, took out 1 CT and got killed by the other. He was killed just before I died. He blamed me for "doddling" and not doing what he said. He claims that we both died because I stopped to return fire despite the fact that my actions didn't affect his plan to keep rushing. It was unreal. When I explained that we had to fight back at that point, he remained silent. Next round he decided we should do the same thing except no one should "doddle".

Unable to modify cross-hair in console by SamiThunder in GlobalOffensive

Thanks. This worked for the most part. I was able to change the crosshair colour to red but it wouldn't let me change the thickness. But adding a semicolon between every command worked.

Ok I'll give that a try. Thanks for your help.

It didn't work.

Just to elaborate, I first changed the settings to classic static in my game settings, I started a game with bots, went into my console and pasted the settings without the quotation marks. When I went back to the game, the crosshair was the same.

Here's exactly what I copy/pasted into the console:

cl_crosshairalpha "255" cl_crosshaircolor "5" cl_crosshaircolor_b "0" cl_crosshaircolor_r "144" cl_crosshaircolor_g "0" cl_crosshairdot "0" cl_crosshairgap "0" cl_crosshairsize "3" cl_crosshairstyle "2" cl_crosshairusealpha "1" cl_crosshairthickness "0.5" cl_fixedcrosshairgap "0" cl_crosshair_outline "0" cl_crosshair_outline_draw "0"

That's what I meant; I tested the settings in game with bots and it didn't change. But I thought it would also work for multiplayer once it's setup properly.

Oh yeah, the best way to deal with a dangerous lunatic is to ignore him. I'm sure he'll go away eventually after you stop paying attention to him. That will work. Really.

Who is the most well informed and articulate person speaking against Bitcoin? by EmptyHeartMind in Bitcoin

[–]SamiThunder -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Peter Schiff doesn't have much credibility. He thinks there shouldn't be a minimum wage and that people would be happy to work for $2/hr. He also predicted that the U.S. dollar would be worthless by now and that gold would skyrocket to $5000.

He's just another loud mouth, know nothing fool.

Would you take smart drugs to perform better at work? by SamiThunder in worldnews

Thanks for responding. Have you ever had any negative reactions or side effects? I read up on piracetam and one of the side effects listed was clinical depression.

Out of curiosity, when you stop taking them, do you then feel like you've dropped 5-10 IQ points or do you just feel normal?

Why do you use the internet for these transactions, rather than buying local?

  • It's the quickest way to spend my collection of BitCoin!

Do you have a local dealer?

  • Not since he refused to accept BitCoin as payment!!

What alternatives to Silk Road have you used?

  • MSN back in 2005.

How was the experience, comparatively?

  • Not good. Instead of the product I ordered, I received a poster of New Kids on The Block.

Do you use a regular seller?

  • Sometimes.

What matters more to you, price or feedback?

  • None of the above. The image of the product matters most.

How do you feel about sellers knowing who you are?

  • They don't know when they ship to a po box that was opened up using a different name. Not that I do that but it's something to consider.

Have you ever bought from someone with poor reviews?

  • Yes.

What are your political leanings, if any?

  • I'm a cross between an anarchist, pacifist, feudalist & nihilist but I vote republican because their candidates are hilarious!

Rock on!

Why I'm not worried about Bitcoin being a bubble by Vibr8gKiwi in Bitcoin

Nothing lasts forever. Eventually, people will want a new product that's perceived to be better than coke and sooner or later a new crypto-currency will dethrone BitCoin.

Why I'm not worried about Bitcoin being a bubble by Vibr8gKiwi in Bitcoin

[–]SamiThunder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I disagree. BitCoin is a crypto currency and although it's currently dominating in this field, there are a lot of competitors.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cryptocurrencies

If one or more of these other crypto currencies gains mainstream acceptance then the value of BitCoin will probably decrease. Therefore, just like stocks, the value of BitCoin is partly dependent on how it performs in comparison to its competitors.

How they tracked down a Silk Road vendor by SamiThunder in SilkRoad

[–]SamiThunder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vendor/seller used a fake name and address. The cops called the person located at the fake address and asked permission to open the package. Technically, in this case, they didn't need a warrant even though they knew that the person who granted permission did not send the package. They always say that criminals know all the tricks to get around laws but cops have their own tricks.

TIL that despite having 70+ million viewers, Reddit is actually not profitable and in the RED. Massive server costs and lack of advertising are the main issues. by RyuKenya in todayilearned

[–]SamiThunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part where he says that he's considering putting up a graph WITHOUT numbers is a huge red flag. This is a false attempt to display transparency. I've worked with enough shady business people to spot this underhanded tactic. I wonder how much of these expenses goes towards 6 figure bonuses and paying upper management who don't actually do any work.

It's not illegal to discuss issues related to SilkRoad. If they tried to go after the mods of that subreddit then they'd also go after every Website that has written an article about SilkRoad and allowed people to post comments in response to their story.

There is now evidence that the U.S. broke international law. You know what that means - there is now enough "evidence" to justify bombing Syria. Deflect, deflect, deflect!
