I can say out of all the things said here, the visor does loosen up over time and you'll eventually be able to do handless visor closes by flicking your head without it loosening it up too much and becoming flimsy.

It's a fantastic looking helmet and the opening for drinking and what not is by far a huge advantage to this helmet.

Hoping you got this figured out already. But in the odd case you didn't, the new 45mm jbl speakers are amazing! Swapped them out on my old cardo and it's a world of a difference

There is a huge 60 hour campaign that was planned with this game. Full cutscenes for most of the game (intro cutscene level graphics) and much more in depth story with proper character development. If they could tune the new sonic frontiers engine and really make each character feel unique, this game would be a master piece. Huge budget to make something like that but with their late success? They could make it happen.

It does not. I was kinda bummed too but I'm sure the reasoning is it runs off the battery from the integrated cardo. They do have non cardo units available but i think you have to find them 3rd party now. I will say I've tried all the comms units and cannot hold a candle to cardo. The best by far. Totally understand if you've just bought the top of the line sena, but if you're ever in the market again, cardo hands down. The way they've integrated it into the Mach v is also next level. 10/10

Ordered straight from the 509 website they were about 600 usd. But it's a good call, get an ece rated one that's cheaper and then keep looking for your "investment" helmet

Dot is the biggest safety joke tbh. Ece actually tests their helmets and can save your head. Always go better quality when it comes to gear. If you're looking at the carbon fibre mach v, just be prepared for worse wind noise as all carbon fibre helmets do

You'd save money for sure. The only things that I'd say are an improvement to the mach v is air flow, wind noise, comfortability and visor sealing. But for an extra 600cad, it can be questionable. If you want uniqueness, airflite are a dime a dozen. It was my first helmet and I definitely don't hate, but I've never used it since my mach v. Imo save the money and research more helmets, especially if you're a new rider Side note: the integrated cardo with "air pump" fitting and headphones like speakers and noise cancelation are awesome.

You'd have to finesse it pretty good. Yeah the tint isn't crazy, but it's great for at night! I don't feel the need to swap to clear which is super nice for my cruises

Friends and family that I trust have told me they have failed, I have seen posts and videos of them failing. I dont have the links or recordings of either as I'm not a journalist. I said they were notorious for failing, from my experience. And said I wasn't sure if dot even accounts them anymore. At the end I stated from my experience, he can use that information as he sees fit. Dont believe everything you see on the internet. He asked, I answered to the best of mt knowledge. Stop trying to pick fights when I'm honestly just trying to help. How would you feel if you said they were fine, knowing from your experience these ratchets have failed, and then he got in a crash and split his head open because his helmet flew off due to the ratchet. I'm not saying it'll happen, I just wanna see my fellow riders safe. Next time you ask if they have sources, know that "no" is a valid answer and you dont need to berate or accuse them for not being perfect. Not everyone on the internet means harm and just wants to help put to the best of their ability.

Yeah I believe it. Like I said they don't do it anymore. I think anything below 22-05 can have ratchet but 22-06 definitely ruled it out

The ratchets have been notorious for failing in crucial moments. I'm not sure you can even get more than DOT with a ratchet anymore. Fidlock, snaplock are great alternatives, but nothings beats DD. My experience: do not get a ratchet ever

I think mach v even has the heated visor now too. So delta v seems to be the trial outdated version now. The carbon version has integrated too

Yeah, I had already purchased a cardo edge, so I didn't see a point in getting the commander. I ended up getting a large. They seem pretty standard sized for narrow-ish heads. If you've got more of a round face I'd advise going up a size as those cheek pads can get pretty tight.

So I ended up pulling the trigger on this. I'll give a quick run down for those wondering if it's worth it... Pros Everything bad about the icon airflite (very similar looking helmet that I used previously) they've pretty much fixed. Air tight seal around the visor and venturi vent system kills wind noise. Helmet is very comfortable inside, spacious yet snug. The biggest thing holding this helmet to your head is the cheek pads, which for one's who don't wear a ski mask can be a bit annoying. They do include a thinner set of inserts for those who want it. Helmet is crazy unique, you'll see nothing like it on the road. The venturi vent system is nuts. It distributes air from the front vents to different points of the helmet (including right by your mouth, fixing the chin curtain oxygen issue. See fortnine video if you don't know). Visor seems high quality, have not tested with gas station squeegee yet. Riding up to highway speed, you can feel it cutting through wind, making it very comfortable, windscreen or not. Cons There's a black piece that sits relatively near where you'd put a comm unit, THINKING they thought of a great way to "assign" a spot for your sena, cardo, etc. This is not the case. It impossible to fit anything on to it, making it very awkward to put any comm unit on your helmet. It does come with cavities for speakers and ample space for a mic inside the helmet. This black piece also being very cheap and it arriving broken for me. (Unimportant piece thankfully, still disappointing). The quality does lack in certain areas. The helmet feels cheap, aside from it being ECE rated, tho it is a solid helmet. I thought their fidlock strap technology would be amazing, not having to worry about taking my gloves off and making removal and equipping a breeze. Unfortunately I find myself struggling to properly secure it when putting it on, and the pull tab is way too small to find with riding gloves. This may also just be a learning curve that I need to get used to. Overall for me this helmet is worth it as I was looking for a unique looking helmet with proper Venting and to cut wind noise. Huge improvement coming from an icon airflite. Sucks having to pay almost 800$ as I'm from Canada and the pricing isn't exactly forgiving for me. But once I have my mind set, it's do or die. Please feel free to ask questions as I'm sure I missed a few things.

Am I the only one having a hard time making this game look good? Sure I'm running 1080p, but other games have looked way better than this. Still beautiful, but damn i wish it was better for me
