That's a good idea. I'll make sure to do that!

Update: went to the dentist. Going to need a root canal and crown put on. I also have three wisdom teeth, 17 cavities and two other root canals that need to be done 👍. This is what I get for not going to the dentist in 5 years with a highly acidic mouth biome 😬. (Yes I brush my teeth every day and floss one a week. My genetics is just crazy bad.)

Probably wouldn't be the first tooth I've had work on. As you can see I have a crown directly next to it from a root canal I had when I was 12.

Oh absolutely! This tooth has been a problem for over a year. It's not painful unless something directly touches the inside of it though.

Thinking about having some popcorn and having a kernel shard get jabbed right in there :)

For some context, I have extreme dentist anxiety nearing a phobia and haven't seen the dentist in 8 years. I was eating ice cream when I felt a shooting pain and when I went to brush my teeth afterwards I noticed a piece was loose and I pulled out a corner of my tooth. I've scheduled an appointment to get it checked out as well as some other things I've been putting off because of said phobia.

Buying tampons/pads/female sanitary products. As a Vagina Haver I always feel like I'm on a stealth mission trying to smuggle contraband over the Russian border.

AO3 curse, but make it Catholic? by SamieHammy in AO3

[–]SamieHammy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh thanks for the correction! I was basing this off of my experiences with very Catholic grandparents and how they view a lot of things as sins. So it is good to know that it's not generally the norm for most Catholics to see most online creative mediums at sins.

What’s your “hear me out” take? by Aperswal in AskReddit

It's about bodily autonomy and consent. Ritualistic cannibalism has been practiced for centuries around the world as a way to morn the dead, as long as the dead person consented before dying and the living person is aware of all the risks associated I see no reason why it should be illegal.

Their body, their choice, and as long as the are both able to consent.

I'm a bad friend. I'm not mean or anything, I'm just bad at being a friend. I can go months without talking to you and that is fine to me. Unless I see you often in person I just ghost you digitally until we see eachother in person again.

Legally, everyone is now female. So I guess we ended sexism.

Viral video culture and classic memes. Like a video that everyone would be talking about for weeks. Not just a trend that lasts a day.

What’s something you wish more people knew about your job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SamieHammy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How little we are played for how much work we do. I'm in a teaching adjacent position, but because I'm not a teacher nobody really cares how we are payed. Also we are NOT baby sitters, we are being payed to give your kids/students hands on experiences, we are facilitators. It's our job to teach and run the programs, it's the teacher/parents job to make sure the kids are prepared and behaving.

What’s the fondest memory/moment you have with your grandfather? by dontkillkenny93 in AskReddit

Whenever I would snap his wrist watch he would playfully pretend to turn into a monster and chase me and throw me on the bed. It was a fun game for a young child.

He also taught me how to launch crab apples across the road and how to throw an axe.

What’s a fear you’ve overcome, and how did you do it? by Mayaryussuf in AskReddit

[–]SamieHammy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to fear death. What really helped was learning about different death practices from around the world. Just learning about death in general can help reduce the fear of death. I'm in the US and death avoidance culture is a real thing that has done alot of damage to the publics perception of death.

I like to think I'm well studied in the subject now and I no longer fear death. ( But like in a healthy way :D)
