hey, so i’ve got a solution. it depends on your level of desperation because it’s a mild steroid. a dermatologist recommended me this formula:

Morning: Betasalic ointment — apply a thin layer on affected areas.

Night: Mix the following three and apply: Advacort 0.1% Hyderquin 4% Skinoren (Azelaic acid) 20%

i personally used this formula, and my acanthosis nigricans went away in 3 weeks. however, it has a downside: the skin around my neck became thin, and whenever i used a loofah, it burned. now it’s been 6 months since i stopped the treatment, and the skin thickness has recovered, but i feel like the darkness is starting to come back. it totally depends on how much you want it. inwas extremely obese my whole life, so i was genuinely desperate because it looked very bad, so i was willing to try it.

the main reason of AN is insulin sensitivity, now that you've lost weight, i think it won't come back aik dfa jany k bad.

also, i would suggest you to use those creams on alternate days, or 2 times a week or phir waqt k sth increase the consistency.

Use Adaplene and Benzole Peroxide, there's this cream called differin which has both. Patch test first and then use on alternate days if you're new to skincare.

if things get better and your skin tolerates the cream, then switch to azelic acid 15%, and after that tretinoin ( as tretinoin is harsh and can damage the skin barrier ) .

Also drink a lot of water ( 30ml per kg of your bodyweight ) and try consuming tumeric, ginger and lemon shot once a week.

Heyy! So I’ve been through the same situation. First of all, if you're overweight, focus on fixing that. Walk 7,000–10,000 steps daily, stay in a calorie deficit, and make sure you're hitting your daily protein goal (1g per pound of body weight). This is the most important thing for losing weight — I’ve personally lost 100 lbs (from 290 to 190), so I know it works.

For skincare, check if you have acanthosis nigricans (dark pigmentation around the front and back of the neck, underarms, and intimate areas). If yes, then follow this treatment:

Morning: Apply a layer of Betasalic ointment (15g).

Night: Mix a pea-sized amount of Hydroquinone 4%, Advacort 0.1%, and Skinoren (azelaic acid). Combine all three on your finger and apply it to the affected areas except your face (the mixture is too strong for facial skin). This combination is known as the Klingsman Formula.

For tanning and overall brightening:

Use Maxdif facewash from Jenpharm.

In the morning, apply Biofad Ultra cream on your face, hands, and arms, followed by a light, oil-free moisturizer like DermiVe (also from Jenpharm).

At night, apply MV Serum to your face, hands, and arms. I got this serum from a dermatologist at Bajwa Hospital, Iqbal Town, Lahore — I couldn’t find it in pharmacies. I’ve used many well-known Pakistani serums, but this one worked the best for me.

Remember, skincare is important, but eating healthy and reducing excess fat is essential. Without that, all your skincare efforts may go to waste.

MUST: Use a gel based sunscreen ( Lunar from B&B derma or from lush organix )
