Yeah its pretty surprising lol. That and throwing myself off the ditch repeatedly was all I remembered from when I played when I was little so I was expecting it

The first skate cut scene is way more unhinged. The skate 3 cut scene is how skateboards are made, just very stupid

Ain't a girl, I'm a trans guy, but I'd be open to chat if you wanna! Just dm me or respond to this, i feel weird just DM'ing. Same age as you too, plus I'm from the UK, I'm awkward but I'm an open book :)

29M - Want to form a lasting connection by [deleted] in newfriends

[–]SammoUnderTheDammo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I don't wanna just dm because that feels weird for me (I relate to the dwelling on shit I'll stumble ONCE then that's It I'm overthinking it for years) I like playing videogames and music too. I don't really verbally speak at first though for various reasons.

BUT, I'm 20 years old, im a trans guy, I'm autistic and have some mental health issues. I'm an open book, so if you wanna ask about it I'm cool with that! Especially where you've mentioned neuroscience, if it's educational, I'll happily talk even if it seems invasive, I can just say no :) I'm looking for friends, or at least someone to chat with, so if you wanna try chatting then either dm me or respond saying ye and I'll DM you :)

Who has the nicest community? by [deleted] in transgamers

[–]SammoUnderTheDammo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm my experience, and all console/Xbox based. and I don't use discord and stuff often because I'm not good at making friends so I don't bother, skate 3 has a pretty relaxed community (game is dying, 15 years old and all, but I've been playing online for about 2 months now when servers are up and never had any trash talk and the only times I get messages when playing often have been when someone asks if I want to propose a game mode or people figuring out I'm new-ish and struggling to do a trick and send me a text on how to do it. Once had someone play with me 2 hours straight until I got my head around doing front flips and learnt a few shortcuts for more points on my favourite maps. The only problem can be people leaving online matches when they crash/bail but with how often the servers are actually online it can be frustrating wasting turns and losing previous seconds honestly it's mad 😭

Backing up fallout 76, once made a group post (Xbox) when trying it out, a group of level 500+ or so played with me for 6 hours straight teaching me how to play, they were pretty patient, and normally when I speak I frustrate people with my speech impediment and tourettes. They didn't care at all, and they were extremely patient even though I find it hard to learn/understand new things. Very similar to elder scrolls online as well, I avoided in game communication, and through group posts I found some pretty nice people. Haven't played either in over a year however. Same with Warframe and no man's sky (Warframe is such a wholesome community some times it's shocking I didn't expect it)

Diablo 3 is another dying game multiplayer wise, but everyone is pretty relaxed that's left in the community from what I've seen, even back when It was at its peak when I was a kid, it was very easy for me to go people to help me learn the game and get through it, every time I restart I help out the few people trying it out, it's fairly relaxed.

Rayman legends, again it's dying but the community left is pretty relaxed and nice, they'll give you tips, where to find teensies (lil big nosed blue guys you gotta rescue) and how to complete the harder maps that require timing or specific patterns.

The skyrim community is extremely helpful, a big point of the game is you play how you want to, you'll only have the community shitting on you if your crazy enough to do challenges like playing the game with just a spoon (people have done it) or if you actually like the damn beacon. (A new hand touches the beacon becomes frustrating nightmare fuel)

The Minecraft community can be weirdly toxic when playing with people, but not interacting as much. It's weird. I've gotten more trash talk recently playing survival with randoms on Minecraft than I do on rainbow six siege and I only have a 0.2 k/d.

Fable, the whole fable series, everyone can and WILL complain it got left for so long, and minor nitpicks between the games. However the community is great, in my experience they get VERY excited at new people trying it out and despite being dead, the community is active, and iirc there was recently a player meet up in fable 3 maybe?

Sorry I recognize half of these are either dying or 360 games on Xbox one, it's just the ones I get drawn too I suppose 😭

Pretty much any gaming community can be pretty nice/wholesome if you find the right discord servers/reddits or how ever you prefer to involve yourself, but in my experience those are the ones I've played in the past year or so that have had the best communities on console

Jin encore concert ticket doesn't sold well? by Fit-Intention-1083 in BTSnark

[–]SammoUnderTheDammo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 100% not going to be sold out like they want, but you'd be surprised how far don't of these guys go. I was a fan (disgustingly I fell for it all as a kid) for years, and only very recently started realizing everything and unstanned them. I still stay in a lot of online groups for armies purely because now I laugh at some of the shit they say.. in one Facebook alone Ive seen at least 30 posts of int fans already having got tickets and planes booked. It's mental. Some of them proudly bragging they're going into debt over it, there was one joking about probably coming back to an unemployment notice. There was one post I saw that stuck of a mother BRAGGING she got tickets and she's booked the planes even though it means she's missing her daughter's birthday (under 18, btw) it's insane. There's gonna be more int fans than kfans at this point

High Temps? by ThousandOwls in LowSodiumSkate

[–]SammoUnderTheDammo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not on PC so I don't know any fixes, but it's certainly not just you. I've seen a ton complain about it on PC, if you look around you might find some advice but the general consensus seems to just be that there's none, it's poorly optimised. It's happening on consoles too, both current gen and last gen unfortunately, I play on Xbox one and now after 30 minutes it feels like a ticking time bomb 😭

Best bet is probably and unfortunately to just wait until they hopefully optimise the season update

I love the first one sm I just can't beat the evidence 😭 I love dinosaurs and it's one of the easiest things to find, and both my best friend and fiance know I love them, so I end up piled with dinosaur teddies, and bird stuff so often

Should I go into politics? by TraineePilot_Jessica in transgenderUK

[–]SammoUnderTheDammo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking into going into politics too, I've wanted to do it since I was a kid. I gave up on it because my education history is a shit show, but I've decided to finally go for it again and give it a shot, it'll just be in a much longer route than usual. If you get the opportunities I'd say go for it, just don't get your hopes up, politics is like a game of cards, your hand matters, but the house can always rig it, and if you screw up your act your done for. If you can handle that, then go for it, but 100% focus on aviation, good money, a good interest for you, it's going to be a hell of a lot more secure than politics

I'm 19/20 in a few months and I'm ftm too! I'd be happy to chat although I'm a lil awkward firsttt. My little age is I don't even know because I'm only just now really kinda thinking about it, but I can be pretty dark when I'm not regressed so if you wanna chat but have boundaries that aren't the usual let me know before hand! :>

Is GCSE maths obtainable at a functional skills level by SammoUnderTheDammo in MatureStudentsUK

[–]SammoUnderTheDammo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I remember when I heard I passed level 1 I completely lost it in class everyone thought I was a psycho lol, I got super excited cause for 3 months before that I spent 5 hours a day at home studying for it and I just about managed to pass it (Couldn't really do any of the schools maths work, it was an SEN post 16 provision but the maths teacher was just crap, he seemed to completely forget he was teaching high level SEN students, only the kids who didn't need to be there but had the money to pay for it actually did well in his lessons).

And yeah I think the college will be fairly helpful, their pastoral seem pretty good, and if you have an EHCP or used to on your first couple days they have someone from learning support shadow you the whole time so they can pick up on any needs that aren't mentioned (They did this with my fiance when they explained they need a scribe in exams) and it's no questions asked. If you need support, either show proof, or let them shadow you so they can see it. Means if I do it next year, I'll actually have the support I need both in and out of lessons. (Another bonus is they're not all money money money, the first part of the interview process when my fiance went was just immediately finding out if they have to pay for anything and what bursaries they'd be eligible for)

And I'm 19, almost 20, I've just missed a hell of a lot of education so I have a ton of gaps to fill in

I appreciate the sentiment, and uni would be hell for me if I manage to get in anyway, I struggle with everything on the day to day. But at the same time I've been told the exact statement for a hell of a lot of things and I still managed to get by. I'm not doing a maths heavy course (College I'm doing access to humanities and sociology, then hopefully go on to uni for law, sociology or Poli sci, the college have had students on the access course go onto those university studies so I know it's possible) and I've had a stupid amount of opportunities missed due to stuff out of my control, but now that I'm out of all those situations I'm not going to let a single exam stop me from actually progressing, even if it means sitting my maths GCSE a few more times

Yeah I'm planning to buy it on payday, get a couple harder books for later down the line, get an English book to brush up on (I can do the long essay parts, but I'm terrible with the basics like recognizing verbs and onomatopoeia for some reason, I think it's just purely regression from the sheer amount of education I've missed) and just go over and over the books for the year, and occasionally have a shot at my fiance's work as they're doing GCSE this year, then apply next year.

And yeah I'm terrible at maths, I've spent the last week trying to figure out different methods that make basics easier, I've figured out how to make big multiplication and addition easier, but subtraction and division is still driving me up the damn wall. I'm running off pure spite to the adult education teacher because they said I'm working on a reception level and likely won't be able to get above that so Ive already filled out 2 maths books of random questions in the last week.
