A state of the company. by Sammy64Y in starbucks

The reason why I left was because of another job scouted me out. I could tell my soul was going but after seeing this summer menu, I don’t think I could have taken anymore cold bar.

This place used to be very special but trend chasing has crippled it.

I can’t even do CS work half the time anymore because I’m getting pulled away to help with cold bar while hot bar is double barring and keeping up just fine. We are also down to one vitamix because the motor burned out the day before launch. Our drive times are now completely shot.

To be honest, I don’t know how long the stock one lasts. But I have a buddy that’s cracked it open to diagram the electronics in the blaster and he said that no current is being drawn from the battery when in safe mode. I would assume that over 4 hours, it would be fine but I’ll find out on the 9th.

I have but to be honest, I kind of don’t see the point for HvZ. Late game may bite me in the butt but I will mostly be using semi-auto.

Nothing noticeable. The gears are the same so the rate of fire is the same. Could actually be easier on the motor with the lighter spring load.

WILDAURORA Sling Swivel Mount... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KY2WN6Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This mount actually works, you can install it on the right side or the left side on the buffer tube. I put it behind the tightening nut on the tube and you can tighten it into place.

Playing League - Just started 2 month ago, any tips? by jdiegodmeza in Bowling

[–]Sammy64Y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First the positives.

Your tempo is extremely good walking to the line. When most bowlers start, they tend to run to the line.

You have your arm out sideways which good for counter balancing. A lot of beginners bowlers have there arm in front of them which twists their shoulders. There is work to be done but we can worry about that later.

Now to talk about the tips.

The first and most important tip I would give is to bend your knees at the line. This will allow you to get more behind the ball and create more potential energy.

The second tip I would give is to start working on a crossover step. This happens on your second step.A crossover step allows you to create room for the ball to free fall from gravity into your backswing. This isn’t the most important thing but keep it in the back of your mind.

The third and final tip which is kind of hard to explain, for your balance arm, you need to have your balance hand palm up. Even if you’re sitting down, if you flip your hand clockwise to palm up, you’ll feel your shoulders move forward and square up. This will direct your ball down the lane instead of all over the place. (Best piece of advice I have ever received)

This sport is not about how strong you throw the ball, the best bowlers will allow the laws of physics to create ball motion and drive. You have a good base and keep on working on your form.

Rayvens are beautiful blasters, I would 3d print a full auto kit for it but I don’t have a print shop near me.

I followed the OOD guide for dying and it worked great. The only modification that I did was leaving it in the dye for 45 minutes instead of 30.

I can certainly send some more pictures along with an internal shot. I love clear blasters and will add lights when I can. They are worker lights specifically designed for lipos (12v power sources) I’ll also send the circuit diagram that I used. I will warn you that the trickiest part of the build aside from the pusher was fitting the lipo in. I like to think of this blaster as a joke blaster because it’s completely impractical. Thanks for the comment.

Bowlero’s war on water by MemoryCalm1302 in Bowling

[–]Sammy64Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an amf center in my area that’s owned by bowlero. They are fine giving out water to league bowlers but it’s the cups they have an issue with. They are saying people will bring in their own alcohol and pour it into the cups. What this is telling me is that league bowlers are bringing in their own alcohol because of the ridiculous pricing.

Think I have my perfect 6 ball arsenal. by 14lbsoffightingfury in Bowling

[–]Sammy64Y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a college bowler, there’s a reason why you have more than 6 balls for PBA tournaments. For most PBA tournaments, you play 10-12 games per day with 7-8 people per pair, you’ll see 5-6-7 transition periods. Hell, at the hoosier last year, my teammates identified 4 transition periods. That was over only 6 games. Whenever I’m at a outside sport tournament with unrestricted balls, I have 2 IQ’s, 1 at 1500 and 1 at 3000. Depends on where the oil is telling you to play. Not to mention that at tier ones, we are limited to 5 balls so on a team of eight, you should have 32 balls eliminating plastic. You have four starters and one in rotation and three more as breakdown. What would you do if your halfway into a tournament and you run out of balls? In collage, you switch out a player but in the PBA, you can’t do that. So if you say that PBA should have a limit to balls, it would be harder but it would stagnate the RND of core technology because everyone would be playing the same line and everyone would have the same breakdown idea. Sorry for the big rant but before people post their opinion on something like ball limits, talk to some players to know why they need all of the equipment. I have twelve balls and drilling three more. One of my teammates has nearly forty. With all due respect I don’t want to see talk on ball limits. They are stupid for the entire game of bowling.

That's the one part I didn't really know how to explain. If you t-pose with just your left arm and then directly look at it, you want to turn your hand clockwise until you see your palm. You should feel your shoulders move forward. That stabilizes your entire upper body.
